Capítulo 36: Rage and Shame

Xavier felt the anger emanating from Leila as she stood in front of the mirror like it was a living thing. She looked like she was ready to tear him from limb to limb with her claws and teeth. 

He was sure she would even enjoy it. 

The pure wrath he could sense did not make him uncomfortable or angry. Instead, it gave him a feeling of unwarranted pride in her fierceness. She was a ball of fire and was not afraid of him despite the power he had displayed. 

She was his perfect flame.

The shadows that always held him in their embrace seemed to distort and lose form, almost making him reveal himself. His undead heart throbbed in his chest with violence, and his unnecessary breath became fast. 

His eyes glowed red, and his fangs sharpened.
