Capítulo 41: MEETING HIM

"We should go, Luna," Liam's voice broke through my thoughts and the chatter in the hall.

I glanced around one more time, catching the disdainful stares of the women who had been ogling Liam. Unlike earlier when all they did was praise him for his status, influence, and attractiveness, they were now whispering about me. Their jealous eyes tracked our every move, their words too were a little unkind. Their nonchalance about me hearing those whispers surprised me.

Honestly, it didn't bother me. I've been in situations like this countless times that petty comments couldn't get to me anymore, especially when they were far from the truth. These comments just showed how low these she-wolves were regardless of their claimed "class."

Taking a deep breath, I steadied myself and held my gown so I could walk more easily. "Lead the way," I replied with a smile that faded when he objected politely.
