Capítulo 149: Visit

Alexa stared at the writing that read 'Here lies a hero' as she and Dominic entered the cemetery that Connor had pointed out. The two got out of the car as Connor's car also stopped. Connor didn't say anything, leading Alexa and Dominic to stop at three graves lined up with the names of gravestones and photos of people he knew. Even though they didn't have any relatives, it seemed Connor had taken care of the graves all this time. Each of the gravestones looked like they were very well cared for. To the point that Alexa felt like her family's deaths might have happened just yesterday.

Looking at the photos of people she knew, Alexa held back her urge to cry as she knelt at one of the graves closest to her. Carefully, Alexa put away the bouquet of fresh flowers she had brought for this visit. Her sad smile was visible as Alexa greeted the handsome man in military uniform who was in the photo in the new gravestone.
