Capítulo 50: Past (Part 6)

"Ava, are you okay in there? I accidentally heard both of you screaming earlier."

As soon as Ava came out of Hugo's room, she was greeted by the worried gaze of Irina, who was standing outside the room of General Hugo. Ava took a deep breath. She tried to give Irina a faint smile as her hand patted Irina's shoulder lightly and invited her to walk away from Hugo's room.

"It's nothing, Irina. I was just annoyed when the General assigned me to a mission when Jake and I recently started a relationship. He assigned me without Jake. Of course, I was a little annoyed," avoided Ava smoothly. Her face remained calm as Irina seemed to be trying to judge her. Ava is not used to raising her voice in front of other people, no matter how angry she is. Hearing Ava's screams earlier, it was natural that Irina had more suspicions about what happened in the room.
