Capítulo 36: Two hours. - Part3

Arthur looked into Samantha's eyes, he could slightly see his reflection in Samantha's crimson eyes, and seeing his face in Samantha's red pupils he ended up looking away, but instead of lowering his head completely he only lowered his head slightly and ended up stopping your eyes in Samantha's smile. Looking at Samantha's smile, Arthur ended up remembering his mother, for Arthur who is only eight years old it had been a long time since his mother had passed away, and if it hadn't been for the test he recently had to take, he wouldn't even remember what his mother looked like anymore, however, there was something he never forgot, something he dreamt about quite often, was his mother's smile, that gentle and loving smile was never forgotten, and looking at Samantha now Arthur remembered the same smile; Arthur didn't remember many things about his parents, but there were some exchanges of messages on his mother's cell phone that remained for Arthur, after he learned to read he looked at some out of curiosity and just remembered her while looking at Samantha.

- My mother said it's better to tell the truth, hiding only leads to trouble. - Arthur said as he looked at Samantha's face, not even sure why he said it at the moment as it didn't make much sense in the current conversation.

- Really? - Samantha asked as she arched her smile further and ignored the randomness of her "little brother".

- Yes, she sent it to my father a while ago... - Arthur said in a sad voice.

- Hum... - Samantha nodded, but decided not to go into a subject that could cause Arthur pain, after all, she had seen how much he had just suffered. - Well, as your older sister, I guess she's my mother too... - Samantha said with a serious and thoughtful face, as if she had been considering this for some time.

- What? - Arthur was stunned by what Samantha had just said, his eyes were wide as he stared at her, but before Arthur could say anything Samantha continued. - Well, since she said it, I guess I don't have a choice.

Samantha ignored Arthur's scowling expression and put the boy who was sitting on her lap on his feet, then she got up herself and took Arthur's right hand and walked towards the bed she was lying on earlier. As soon as she arrived in front of the bed, she pointed with the index finger of her left hand that was free, and a stream of colored flames came out of her finger onto the bed, and continued as the bed shook; after a few seconds the bed split in half and contorted itself into two colored armchairs.

- Let's sit down, this is going to take a while. - Samantha said with an indifferent expression as she looked at the screen on which she had been watching Arthur's training. The screen that had previously been suspended above the bed was now hanging in the air, facing both armchairs.

Arthur just nodded as he sat down and stared at the screen of colored flames in front of him, his curiosity attracted by its appearance. - It looks like someone has painted your television... But flying? - Arthur ended up staying out loud as he stared at the television.

- Television? - Samantha, who had previously had an indifferent expression, seemed to become someone else when she heard Arthur's voice, and out of curiosity she asked as she stared at him with a smile on her face.

Arthur gazed at Samantha, his eyebrows furrowed and his hand on his chin, trying to find a way to explain. However, he struggled to articulate his thoughts as all he could share was his experience in watching movies and series. Arthur could simply tell Samantha, but would she know what movies were? Would he have to explain that too? Arthur couldn't explain it objectively, because he didn't even understand it himself, he just knew its ultimate purpose.

Samantha saw the confusion on Arthur's face and made a suggestion. - While I show you my training, can I see a bit... of your life? - Samantha herself thought it was a stupid question, she knew how stupid it sounded, she herself wouldn't accept such a ridiculous exchange, but she wanted to see Arthur's memories, she had no memories or information of what the world was like now, she saw a little of Arthur's fall when he teleported, and she saw his memories of his trauma, but it was only an insignificant portion, and even her former students didn't accept that she saw much, so she was basically without any solid knowledge since she was holding the seal with the others, so she suggested it again, she wanted to be able to have a normal conversation, without having to keep interpreting what her student told her, or spend minutes thinking about how to improve her explanation.

- I can, but... - Arthur became more comfortable with Samantha after the training, strangely he came to trust her even though she made him suffer, he still remembered her explanations and knew that the training was important and inevitable, besides, he felt a strange familiarity with her that made him feel comfortable, it was almost like when he visited Sophie. However, even with the familiarity, and the increase in trust, there was something that made him wary.

- You allow it? Really? - Samantha didn't even notice his excitement when she asked, even his expression was more cheerful as he stared at Arthur, who seemed embarrassed.

- Yes, but... - Arthur stopped and took a breath, his ears turning slightly red as he lifted his gaze and stared into Samantha's eyes. - Are you going to see everything? - Arthur asked, looking into Samantha's eyes.

- That would be ideal. - Samantha said it as if it were natural, and this made Arthur visibly uncomfortable. Samantha realized this and asked. - Can't I?

Arthur took a deep breath, looked away from Samantha's eyes and spoke in a more restrained voice. - When did I go to the bathroom?

- ...Oh... - Samantha thought for a few moments and understood Arthur's concern; after understanding this she just smiled at the little boy who seemed to have an extremely shy expression and spoke. - Don't worry, I promise to avoid all these "intimate" moments.

- ...All right then... - Samantha smiled at Arthur's response and just closed her eyes and began to observe Arthur's memories while letting her own memories flow onto the screen and pull Arthur's consciousness onto the screen as well.

Note: I mentioned yesterday and today's chapters would be longer, but I'm too exhausted from working on my other story; I will publish a 3000-word chapter tomorrow.

"This is already the second chapter where the last paragraph has disappeared when viewed on cell phones. To avoid this, I've decided to duplicate this message at the end of each chapter, hoping it will resolve the issue. If you're reading this, I apologize if it's intrusive, but it's a better solution than leaving the chapter incomplete."
