"KARAA!! GET UP! Go take a shower and at least decide on what you'll be wearing!" I opened my eyes to all the chaotic sound around.
I was taking a nap on the couch in the living room of my apartment after coming back from having a huge argument with my stubborn, older brother-Mike, while my roommate, bandmate and best friend, Ellie, was rummaging through the huge boxes to find a dress to wear to the Annual Rookie celebration party that is held by our company for rookie singers who have gained enormous success in a short period of time.
It is important for the seniors to attend and give some thoughtful words of encouragement and advice to the young singers.
I slowly got up, almost stumbling over the clothes Ellie had left on the floor, and walked over to the kitchen to get the cup of leftover coffee from the night before as I had made too much of it presuming some of our friends would be staying with us for the night, discussing plans for our next album.
"How do I look?" Said Ellie coming into the kitchen wearing an off-shoulder, ruby pink dress with her silky, blond hair flowing down to her waist that made her look like the elegant princess of arvia, she is. "You look absolutely stunning" I replied.
"And you look absolutely horrible!" Ellie said with a look of disgust on her face, looking at the grey sweatshirt and night pajamas I was wearing with my hair tied up into a really messy bun. I rolled my eyes at her remarks.
"Why did you have to get ready so early? We still have 3 hours! And honestly if the CEO wasn't so persistent, I wouldn't even be going to this thing." I took another sip of my coffee while Ellie shook her head and said "Fine! Do what you want and I'll -" she was cut off when the doorbell rang.
We both went outside when the door opened and a man, with ash blonde hair and emerald green eyes, much similar to Ellie's, walked in.
"Alec! Why are you here? I thought we were meeting you later at the gala, no?" Said Ellie with her gleaming hazel coloured eyes shining in the sunlight coming from the windows next to the door.
"Mom's been worried about you. She says she's been calling you for the past two hours and you still haven't picked it up. and why are you already ready?!" "I asked her the same question " I replied while drinking the last few drops of my coffee. "I have no idea where my phone is. I'm sure it's here, just buried under all the boxes. Don't worry I'll call her later" Ellie said looking around the messy apartment.
"You guys still havent fixed this place up yet? I swear if Ronnie saw this , she would've killed you by now" Alec sighed looking at the new apartment that Kara and Ellie moved into over 2 weeks ago.
Alec Smith, another one of my friends and Ellie's older brother(adopted by Ellie's parents after his parents-who were Ellie's aunt and uncle, died in a horrible plane crash). Ronnie is a nickname that the group gave to their oldest member: Eunbi Ryo.
The group is actually a 6 member, mixed-gender singing group- comprised of six members: Eunbi Ryo, Alec Smith, Ethan Clayton, Peter Song, Kara Silver and Ellie Smith.
It has been five years since our debut but the stories that brought us together and the struggles before and throughout our time together is perplexingly long.
HII!! Thanks Soo much for reading! this is my first novel and I'd be most grateful if you found it interesting to start!
