Capítulo 31: 31. Chased
After killing the 2 wanted nins, Zoro checks their belongings to see if they have anything valuable.
"Sigh, only some money and basic ninja tools. I thought they would have quite a lot of money, but they are just as poor as those bandit ninjas."
The previous explosions were caused by some paper bombs he looted from those bandit ninjas. He was just curious about those paper bombs at first, but finally he found an opportunity to use them.
Torao was the one activating those paper bombs on the opposite side of the town to make these missing nins run in this direction.
After taking all their valuables, Zoro seals their corpses in a scroll. Using these scrolls is not that hard, so he can use it himself anytime although Torao's storage jutsu is still better because it can't be stolen, unlike scrolls.
"You finish fast."
"They were underestimating me."
Torao finally arrives after setting the paper bombs on the other side. They return to the town to meet with the mayor. Those 2 missing nins have killed at least 1 citizen, after all, so they need to make a report.
It's easy to convince the mayor and town people because the 2 were wanted criminals. Some people also thought that the victim was acting strange lately and now they know that the man they saw every day was a different person.
The town people will take care of the victim, so Zoro and Torao can go to Kumo to get the rewards.
As Torao suggested, Zoro will ride on Torao's back so they won't lose their way. It really is easier now that Zoro doesn't need to run on his own.
Kumo is far, so they will visit a few places on their way there. They also plan to buy information in those towns. Maybe there will be another target they can hunt on the way, and there is.
Their new target is a female jonin from Konoha who took and sold the organs of dead shinobis in the war including her comrades' organs to the black market.
"If she has a connection with the black market, then this will be tricky. They might protect her."
"Do you want to pass it?"
"Hmm, let's see the situation first. If it's too troublesome, then we can ignore it."
They arrive in the town where the target was last seen. When they look around, they start thinking that it isn't worth the trouble. After all, this town has many ninjas or at least people with a lot of chakra.
'Well, there is a black market here, so it makes sense that they have strong guards as well. These guys' faces are also quite familiar. I think they are also missing nins with prices on their heads. If we attack that woman, the whole black market will come after us.'

Zoro stops and waits for the chasers while Torao is hiding in Zoro's shadow. The chasers finally caught up, but they still tried to hide behind.
"Still thinking you haven't been discovered, huh?"
Zoro unsheathes a sword before turning around and swings it strongly.
"Ittoryu: Sanjuroku Pound Ho!" (1 sword-style: 36 Pound Cannon!)
A spiral flying blade attack is shot from Zoro's sword like a cannon ball. It goes straight and breaks through a few trees before hitting someone who hides behind a tree, injuring him quite badly.
The other 4 are surprised to see one of them get taken out that easily from a distance. Not to mention, that attack was too unexpected. They didn't see Zoro activating any jutsu and suddenly a powerful blast was shot from his sword.
"W-what was that? Nino, why didn't you give us any warning?"
"N-no, I didn't sense his chakra fluctuating at all. His sword wasn't even covered with chakra."
The female sensor ninja really didn't sense anything, that's why she is very confused and terrified.
"Are you still not coming out?"
Zoro gets ready to attack them again, forcing them to finally show themselves.
"So? Who are you?"
They don't answer Zoro's question and just start to make hand seals. Their chests bloat up as they take deep breath. Then they shoot strong wind spears with pointy sharp tips toward Zoro.
"Wind Release: Piercing Wind Spears
"I see, fight first talk later. Fine."
Zoro wields all his 3 swords before jumping to dodge the wind spears. He uses a tree branch to jump toward one of the enemies who quickly makes another set of hand seals.
"Wind Release: Rotating Wind Wall!
The wind that the man exhales turn into a big round rotating shield made of wind to block Zoro's attack.
"Santoryu: Onigiri!" (3 sword-style: Ogre Cutter!)
Too bad for the man, Zoro's attack is powerful enough to cut through his wind shield. He gets struck by Zoro's swords and flung onto a tree. His crash breaks the tree trunks quite deeply before he falls to the ground.
But the man still can stand up. His wind shield still absorbed Zoro's attack power significantly and he also has a protective suit layer under his clothes. Still, Zoro's power really surprised them.
They look at each other before nodding and moving to different positions, surrounding Zoro. Even the 2 injured people also join them and they take quite a distance from Zoro before forming some hand seals.
"Wind Release: Great Typhoon Formation!"
Suddenly, a massive whirlwind appears between the 5. It traps Zoro inside. The trees, stones, and things inside the massive whirlwind are pulled by the rotating wind. They get crushed by the violent wind after getting pulled and Zoro is also getting pulled by the wind.
"So they want to crush my body with this, huh? As if I'll let it happen."
Zoro is flying because of the wind, but he is calm and gets into a stance even while being pulled by the wind. He flows his chakra into his swords to make his attack more powerful.
"Santoryu: Tatsu Maki!" (3 sword-style: Dragon Twister!)
Zoro spins his body as he swings his swords sideways. He creates a dragon-like tornado made of slash attacks from his swords. His tornado collides with the massive whirlwind, creating a powerful clash.
The 5 ninjas are surprised to see their combination attack actually get pushed back. Then after pushing each other for a while, both attacks destroy each other.
"No way! His attack is as strong as a jutsu that the 5 of us made together."
"Hey Miku! Are you sure this guy is the correct target?"
"I-I'm sure. Green hair, using a pair of swords as his weapons, scary face, and-...."
"Hmm? Wait! A pair of swords?"
"Huh? A pair? But he has 1, 2, 3..."
"T-though it's true that he has green hair and a scary face that will make babies cry."
Zoro hears what they are talking about and frowns.
"Hey, you lot. Are you trying to catch me for a bounty reward?"
"Look! He knows he has a bounty on his head."
"Wait! Wait! Wait! Are you saying I have a price placed on my head? This is my first time hearing it. Who issued such a thing?"
Zoro is now more concerned about him being a wanted man despite not doing any crime. So he asks them but obviously they don't want to answer.
So he sighs and flashes towards the woman named Miku who is looking at a Bingo Book. He places his sword on Miku's neck, making all of them freeze.
"Show me the bounty."
Miku trembles as she turns the book for Zoro to see. Zoro looks at the pictures and description on the bounty page.
"Let's see. Tandori Jiro, a missing ninja from Kirigakure, green hair, intimidating looking face, 28 years old..."
Zoro's eyebrows twitch as he gets more pissed as he reads the details. Then he raises his sword and hits the Miku girl with the hilt of his sword very strongly.
"YOU IDIOT!"
*BAM*
The hit knocks the girl out immediately, making her eyes spin as she faints.
"Damn! I can't believe I am bothered by a bunch of idiot bounty hunters who can't even identify their target correctly. Tch! What a waste of time and energy."
The other 4 are confused when they hear what Zoro says, making him sigh. He throws the Bingo Book at them and orders them to look properly at the picture in the book.
They look back and forth between the picture and Zoro's face. Slowly, cold sweats start dripping from their faces because they realize they've made a mistake. Zoro also trembles in anger as he watches them realize their mistake.
"First of all, I am still 14 while that guy is 28, he is twice my age. Secondly, that guy lost his left ear, which clearly I still have here."
The idiot group trembles in fear as Zoro gets closer to them with a demon-like angry face. They want to run, but Zoro grabs their shoulders first. He has a scary aura that makes them rooted in their spots.
"Now, why don't we talk about how you will compensate me? Don't worry, I am a good and reasonable man."
The idiot group wants to ask for help, but obviously, no one can help them now. They need to face the demon alone.
