STELLA’s POV

An hour passed by and I was already feeling sleepy and hungry. I wasn’t able to eat or drink anything before I came here. I caressed my tummy and was about to get up to go buy something to eat when someone’s voice caught my ears.

“Tell me once Tyler gets back, okay?” Maxine was talking to someone at the counter but it wasn’t the receptionist that I’ve talked to earlier. He seemed to have a higher position in the company, probably the manager of the building or an assistant.

“Yes, Miss Maxine,” the man said. “He has to lead a meeting in New Jersey. He has to take charge there because the chairman is handling another business matter in Quebec.”
