STELLA’s POV
“So, Lucy, as what I’ve told you in the office, I want to fulfill my promises to Lorenzo before he died.” Mr. Choi smiled and took a sip on his wine before he continued. “And that’s to make our family as one. Your daughter and my son to get married.”
“Of course, Gabriel.” Auntie smiled back as she picked a glass of wine on the tray I was holding. “Thank you, honey.”
I almost rolled my eyes from her sweet endearment at me. I continued serving their drinks and when I made it to Debra, she purposely tipped the glass of red wine off the tray.
“Oh my god, Stella!” she exclaimed. “You’re so clumsy. Wait, are you hurt?” her tone was one of false concern.
The red wine stained my green dress and the glass shattered hard on the floor.
“I’m so sorry!” I said, panic was evident in my voice. “I will clean this up right away.”
“It’s okay, sweetheart, no one was harm.” Mr. Choi’s comforting voice echoed from behind me.
