ASHLEY’s POV

The next morning, I woke up with a heavy heart. The guard said Samuel went back here last night and I didn’t know what happened to him and Uno. I didn’t want to know, anyway.

Lucas and dad left for work, as usual, leaving me with the maids alone in the house. But nowadays, I was quite occupied with my laptop. After spending a few hours searching for something, I sighed, whirling the chair around.

This was killing me. The image of Uno’s pained expressions still haunted my mind. Without him, I felt incomplete. I felt a hole in my chest. A really big and deep hole.

I needed some fresh air. Being locked up in this house won’t do any good for my already darkened mood. But how could I step out of the house if Uno was always waiting outside? I couldn’t see him. The wall that I built again might crash down if I do.
