Capítulo 252: We spend the rest of our lives, hiding from the world

As the morning sun filtered through the curtains, Chloe and I sat on the couch, sipping our coffees. Her face was still red from last night's skincare experiment.

The redness had toned down somewhat, but the blotchy hue still lingered, making her look like she'd spent hours under the scorching sun. 

Chloe sighed dramatically, taking a sip of her coffee. "Well, at least I'll be a lesson to all future generations never trust a facemask that promises 'extreme rejuvenation.'"

I chuckled, though I felt a little guilty. "I'm sorry, Chloe. I didn't think it would turn out like this."

She waved me off with her free hand. "Don't worry about it. Besides, I'll just hide my face until it clears up. No big deal."

A few hours later, it was time for Chloe to head back to her villa. We packed up her things and got ready to leave. As we stepped outside, Chloe immediately pulled up the hood of her oversized sweatshirt, trying to shield her face from any prying eyes.
