He let out a harsh laugh. "Don't kid me, Ciara. You're full of…" He trailed off, not finishing his sentence.

"Say it," I urged.

He raked a hand through his hair. "Say what?"

"Complete your sentence. That I'm full of shit." My voice cracked, breaking under the weight of sobs. "If you want to say it, just say it. Finish your words, Dante."

"Ciara, stop. I didn't mean to use those words on you."

"Oh, wow. It just slipped then, right?"

He stayed silent, as if avoiding the confrontation.

"Just fucking say it! Oh, because Ciara's pregnant and admits it to you, suddenly she's full of shit!"
