The lavish ballroom was bathed in soft golden light, casting a warm glow over the elegantly dressed guests mingling around. The sound of laughter and clinking glasses filled the air as servers glided through the crowd with trays of champagne flutes. The grand chandelier hanging from the ceiling reflected off the polished marble floor, adding to the opulence of the event.

Moments go by and the event in motion, Vulcan and I made our way through the crowd, blending in seamlessly with the other attendees. His arm was securely wrapped around my waist, and I could feel the tension in his body, a tension I knew all too well.
