Capítulo 22: Chapter Twenty One: A New Friend, And A Whopping Sum

Ciara's POV

It was the next day, and I was inside my room, alone in silence, occupied with rest, when I heard a faint knock. It came three times before I was certain it was coming from my door, so I stood, went over, and opened the door.

Standing in front of me was a young woman I didn't recognize.

She took a step back and stuttered, "I'm sorry for disturbing you. I was told to meet Ciara. I've knocked on every room."

"By who?" I asked.

"Mr. Vulcan," she replied.

I nodded. "I'm Ciara."

"Okay, nice to meet you, ma'am. I'm the new housekeeper. Mr. Vulcan hired me, and he instructed you to show me around the house and where I'll be staying."

Even though I nodded, I couldn't understand why Vulcan would hire someone and order me to show her around when I barely knew my way around the house. I was as clueless as she was.
