Capítulo 13: City square
"I will think about it later, but let's try the waters first." Virtya answered Alexandre. He moved the window curtain of the carriage and viewed outside and there, he could see that his view was hindered by the carriages of the knights beside his carriage, thus, he could not even see where they were or where they were going.
"This is a well detailed and arranged content. The work seems like what I know and also different at the same time... Your majesty, I didn't teach you this back then, where did you get this?" Grisha asked while ruffling the papers in his hand.
Phew!
Virtya sighed. He knew that Grisha would ask this question and he had already came up with what to answer beforehand.
"This work was only a success after passing through a team of expertises that I invited from the other kingdoms. You might be asking as to why I didn't invite you but to tell you the truth... I was also one of the experts that created this context. I stood in your place because what you taught me was what I presented to them... You can see that most of the work on those papers come from you because I was the one who presented the most."
"Hahaha! That's my student! What did I expect. Those guys from the other kingdoms can't compare with my knowledge throughout the years... I am impressed your majesty." And just like that, Virtya easily fooled his way out. He could not reveal to anyone that he was from the modern world... No.
The carriage shook side by side as it passed through several ditches on the road but the energetic horses easily pulled the carriages out.
It was only thirty minutes later that Virtya and his group arrived at their destination.
They arrived at Whiten city square and it could be seen that the city square was already flooded with thousands of people. There was chatter everywhere about what the king was going to talk about. Apparently, the day before today, Whiddiff denizens were told to assemble at the city square because the king was going to talk to them.
"I don't like king Virtya. I don't even know why I came here in the first place. It is rowdy here but thanks that I didn't carry anything of value with me, lest I would have already been robed with many people around me. Let's hope the king wouldn't tell us too much bullshit like he used to." Losif Angeloff told his friend in a low voice. It could be seen that even though he was wearing some cladding, his cladding was tattered and it had repair patches almost everywhere which showed that he was not ready to give up on this garment because it might be the only one that he had.
"Fuck king Virtya! Our backpacks are full of stones and the moment that dick shows up, we will act. I can't stand seeing his face, it's annoying." A man whose face was black because he might have not taken shower for several months or it could just be that he had deliberately smeared some charcoal dust on his face, he uttered to his fellows who had also carried bags that were made from reeds.
"King Virtya is here. All should rise and bow to the king!" A voice was heard from the platform where Virtya was supposed to address the crowd.
It could be seen that countless knights had stood in front of the platform and the shades with huge shields and lances held before them, they would not allow any unauthorized individual to reach to the king.
A barrier made by huge logs of wood had been made which separated the denizens in attendance and the important people who sat in the shade
Albeit unwillingly, all the denizens who had sat down stood up and at this moment, hundreds of carriages stormed into the city square.
The royal carriage stopped and Virtya together with his group got out of the carriage, right then and there, an umbrella shield was raised to cover these individuals as they head to the podium.
The podium was a part of the shade and the shade had several seats whereby some of the seats were already occupied by the barons, viscounts, some invited rich men, a few invited well known farmers and instructors.
