The next morning, doctors and nurses hurried into the ward of Helen under the trembling eyes of Cynthia. Despite the agitation that remained quite calm under the experienced work of the medical personnel, Helen still had her eyes closed, sleeping without disturbance, her breathing faint and rhythmic.

The leading doctor of the team on shift was giving out orders, while at the same time spewing the results of his checks in words too specific for Cynthia to understand.

Even as her eyelids were raised to test the responsivity of her pupils, and she was connected to differ monitors which started beeping rhythmically, Helen remained in the world of darkness and dreams.

Cynthia felt her heart only keep plummeting into the dark bottomless abyss as the situation progressed unchanged.

A new drip was connected to Helen. The doctor paused his examinations and stretched his hand to one of his colleagues. The latter gave away the file of the patient without a word.
