He couldn't say if it was a good thing that he had kicked off his shoe before stretching his leg out or not, and for the fear of attracting any more attention, he couldn't take his leg back.

Bella quickly broke the silence, "Sorry for stepping on you," She made up an excuse, stealing the chance to hold Davian's arm and pat his shoulder.

There was a couple of throat clearing at the table but they went back to their discussion and with a silent sigh of relief, Lake moved to take his leg back, unable to look Davian in the face.
