Grief-stricken days had passed that seemed like months and years. Longing mornings and restless nights that I had to bear just because I can't lure nor convince Angelou to come back home. The bright light that usually filled our home dimmed. The once joyous and homey atmosphere because of her presence now settles in hollowness and becomes lifelessly barren. I had to compel myself to wake up every morning and dragged myself to sleep at night even though I don't feel like it. She had brought with her the life in me, together with my will to go on, and face the future with a positive note.
