Lucas remained silent for a moment, his eyes softening as he looked down at her. "What do you think?"

Lucas's response hung in the air, leaving Olive's heart racing with a mix of anticipation and fear.

"What do you think?" Lucas repeated softly, his eyes locked onto hers.

Olive's voice trembled as she tried to steady her emotions. "You're lying, right? And I think you should tell me the truth."

Lucas's expression softened, and with a tender touch, he gently brushed away the tears from her cheeks. "We didn't have sex that night, Olive."
