Marissa rolled her eyes and placed her hands on his shoulders, appreciating the muscles she could feel underneath.

"What about your heart?" her eyes scanned his face.

I already told you that I love you, Rafael. Why can't you return my feelings? Or is there still a soft spot for Valerie too?

"I know what's going on in there," he tapped her head, "And tonight I'll address all your concerns. Whatever is there in your heart, and whatever is here in my heart," he placed her palm on his chest, "Just remember. My heart beats for you, Marissa."

Marissa's heart missed a beat.

My heart beats for you?

For the time being this was enough for her. For now, she was happy with it. She would wait for him after the event.

If by any chance, he would express his love for her then…

Then what would she do?

She might just die out of happiness!
