Capítulo 26: Chapter 26: Other side 1

[One Punch Man World]

Two years. That's how long it had been since Tatsumaki, a pint-sized powerhouse of psychic energy, had met Leo, the man who'd become her hero. Since that fateful day, she hadn't stopped training her abilities. Every single day, it was a relentless push to become stronger.

And not just her. She'd even dragged her younger sister, Fubuki, into the whirlwind of constant training. While Fubuki's talent couldn't match Tatsumaki's raw power, the girl put in a valiant effort to keep up with her formidable sibling.

But Tatsumaki's relentless pursuit of strength wasn't for herself. It was all for Leo.

"H-hello, Lady Tatsumaki," a nervous receptionist stammered. She worked at the Hero Guild, an independent organization that connected super-powered heroes with monster-slaying jobs. These guilds were scattered across the globe, acting as a network for heroes to find and deal with threats.

Despite being only thirteen, Tatsumaki held the prestigious title of the strongest esper the world had ever seen. While she'd never harmed a human, the unspoken threat hung heavy in the air. One wrong move, and the receptionist might find her neck snapped in an instant.

Tatsumaki shot the receptionist a withering glare. "Same question as always," she demanded. "Have you found him?"

"The hero with the one-punch knockout and the… uh… bald head? Leo, was it?" The receptionist rubbed her temples, clearly stressed. "My apologies, Lady Tatsumaki, but we still haven't found any record of such a person. It's almost like he doesn't exist."

"Useless," Tatsumaki scoffed before storming out of the office. It had been a year of searching, and still, no one seemed to have even the slightest clue about Leo. It was as if he'd vanished into thin air.

Tatsumaki gazed up at the vast expanse of the sky, a sigh escaping her lips. "Leo, where are you?" she muttered. "I just want you to see how strong I've become. To hear you praise me."

That was it. The sole reason Tatsumaki trained with such fervor was to showcase her strength to one individual – Leo. To earn his praise. Only then would she truly feel accomplished.

[Fairy Tail World]

2 years later

At the tender age of fourteen, Erza Scarlet had already solidified her position as a full-fledged Rank A mage within the Fairy Tail guild. While girls her age were navigating the complexities of puberty, Erza was out there carving her own path, living the life of a seasoned adult.

The departure of Leo had left a void, a void she filled with relentless training. Every waking moment, every mission, became an opportunity to hone her swordsmanship, magic, and physical prowess. In her mind, training was a constant, an unwavering pursuit of strength.

Some might scoff, calling Erza stiff or even a brute. But it was this unwavering dedication that earned her the moniker "One Strike Titania." Be it a slash of her blade or a swift punch, no enemy could withstand her might for more than a single blow.

Returning from another successful mission, Erza entered the boisterous Fairy Tail guild. The usual chaos reigned – members brawling playfully or drowning their sorrows (or victories) in ale. However, as soon as they sensed her presence, the room fell silent. A pin could have dropped and been heard across the hall.

Erza snorted, unfazed by the sudden hush, and proceeded further into the guild. While most members either feared her or wisely avoided her wrath, two exceptions dared to defy this unspoken rule: Gray Fullbuster and Natsu Dragneel.

"Fight me, Erza!" they roared, launching themselves at the powerful mage. Erza, however, barely registered them as a threat.

With a resounding BOOM, the two boys found themselves dangling from the ceiling, their heads unceremoniously wedged into the plaster.

"Why can't those two understand they're a century too early to challenge me?" Erza muttered, shaking her head in exasperation.

Just then, a mischievous voice piped up from behind. "Oh, look! It's Leo!"

Erza flinched. In a matter of seconds, she underwent a startling transformation. Her armor vanished, replaced by a flowing pink dress. Her fiery red hair cascaded down her shoulders, seemingly glossier, and a touch of crimson lipstick graced her lips. The fearsome warrior had morphed into a blushing maiden, love blossoming in her eyes.

"Leo, I've been waiting for you! We were going to get married – wait, where is he?" Erza spun around, expecting to see her beloved, only to find an empty space. Realization dawned on her face, quickly morphing into fury.

"Cana, you are SO dead!" Erza roared.

Yes, it was Cana Alberona, the only guild member besides the master, privy to Erza's relationship with Leo. Cana had met Leo when he accompanied a young Erza to the guild all those years ago.

"Pffft! Look at you, love struck warrior princess!" Cana's dark head doubled over in laughter. "Leo would probably faint from shock seeing a muscle-bound beauty act all lovesick."

Erza gritted her teeth but kept her fists clenched. Punching Cana would be overkill, reducing the woman to a splatter and earning Erza a reputation as a bully. Being strong didn't mean being reckless; Erza prided herself on being a respectful member of the guild, even if respect had to be occasionally enforced.

"At least some of us have someone to cherish," Erza countered, a touch of smugness in her voice, "unlike those who wait for their milk-buying dads who never return."

A series of angry twitches marred Cana's face as she glared at Erza. "What was that?!"

Their simmering tension threatened to erupt into a brawl when Makarov, the ever-vigilant guild master, stepped in. He skillfully diffused the situation and shooed Cana away before turning to Erza.

"Mission successful, Erza?" he inquired, his gaze softening on the fiery redhead, now transformed into a vision of elegant beauty.

"Completed," Erza replied curtly, before her true concern surfaced. "Any news on Leo?"

Makarov sighed, shaking his head. Just like a certain green haired girl from another world, Erza was consumed by the mystery of Leo's disappearance. While she held unwavering faith in their reunion, the lack of even a single clue gnawed at her.

Erza then made her way back to her manor. Unlike most female guild members who dwelled in rented apartments, Erza possessed a spacious home of her own. It was the same residence Leo had gifted her, along with a surprising amount of wealth. While she had remodeled the house with the intention of raising a family, she had also invested heavily in weaponry and magical tomes to fuel her relentless training. Saving money wasn't a priority – she wanted to earn her own way, to repay Leo's generosity.

Back in the comfort of her home, she shed her guild attire and settled at a table by the window. A slice of cake and a steaming cup of tea awaited her, accompanied by a treasured photo frame. Inside, a picture captured a moment of pure joy – Erza and Leo, smiles radiating from their faces.

Picking up the frame, a blush crept onto Erza's cheeks. "Leo, my love," she murmured, her voice laced with longing. "When will you return?"

A predatory glint flickered in her eyes as she continued, her voice hardening. "I just hope you haven't chosen someone else while you've been gone. Because if you have," she trailed off, a steely glint in her gaze, "well, let's just say certain women might find themselves a few limbs shorter."
