Chapter 6: The Chain of Order, The Powerless Genie!
Compared to Mr. Door and the Fallen Mother Goddess on their respective stars, the genie sealed within the Wishing Lamp was evidently an easier target to bully.
If even the Chain of Order couldn't subdue the genie, then it was even less likely to resolve the complex situation with the Fallen Mother Goddess and Mr. Door.
As the gaze drew closer and the starlight dispersed, the phantom of the Wishing Lamp appeared once again.
After observing for a while, Hastur commanded the Chain of Order to fly in front of the star, then the chain coiled and bent, striking fiercely towards the phantom of the Wishing Lamp!
The starlight converged, and the Chain of Order seemed to penetrate a barrier, its leading end, filled with endless starlight, lashed fiercely against the body of the Wishing Lamp, sending it flying away!
Indeed, it was effective!
Hastur was delighted, just thinking about whipping the genie a few more times to see the effect.
Suddenly, his mind felt empty, obscure, and in excruciating pain, and his star spirit, which represented his own state, dimmed significantly, preventing him from wielding the Chain of Order for a second strike.
Hastur muttered a pity to himself, retracted the Chain of Order, and observed the changes in the star where the genie resided. After waiting for a while, he realized the genie couldn't come through the internet cable to attack him and could only rage powerlessly in place.
This made him squint his eyes and chuckle.
Although he could only whip once now, he could enter the Hall of Stars every night. One whip a day, over time, that would be considerable.
After observing for a long time and confirming that the genie truly couldn't come through the internet cable, Hastur retracted the Chain of Order, logged off with a pleased mood, and went to sleep.
---
Under the red moon, each star emitted a faint light, enhancing the beauty of the crimson moon and reflecting on the endless sea surface.
On the Dawn, Bernadette, who was resting with her eyes closed, was disturbed by the anomaly of the Wishing Lamp.
The Wishing Lamp, which had always been sealed obediently, suddenly crashed into the cabin, hit the wall, fell to the ground, and rolled a couple of times.
Then, a furious roar came from inside the Wishing Lamp!
"Damn it! This is too much bullying!"
The genie, full of anger, materialized from the Wishing Lamp, his eyes like forged yellow gems, filled with murderous intent.
"Hehe."
Bernadette stood up and walked over, kicked the Wishing Lamp to make it roll a few more times on the ground, and then waved it over.
"Have you had enough?" Bernadette glanced indifferently at the Wishing Lamp.
In the past two days, this genie had been restless, causing trouble the night before and last night, both times materializing suddenly from the Wishing Lamp, then sulking and silently returning inside.
Tonight, he was so angry that he roared and shouted, looking as if he had been insulted.
Was it my intention to cause trouble?
The genie was truly furious, as being sealed within the Wishing Lamp was already an extremely unlucky affair.
But these two days, his situation had become even more difficult.
The previous two nights were still bearable, only vaguely feeling watched, those eyes looking down from the starry sky as if watching a joke, although it angered him, it wasn't unbearable.
But tonight, that being actually whipped him through the seal of the Wishing Lamp from across the stars!
Although it was neither painful nor harmful, the insult was extreme!
He was a child of chaos, even in the old days of the starry sky, he was a powerful being!
Although he was indeed down on his luck now, not just anyone could step on him!
This wasn't just a whipping, it was a slap in the face!
What was even more infuriating was that he originally wanted to trace the source along that whip, but he was still blocked by the starry sky, unable to cross even half an inch, and could only rage powerlessly in place.
The seal of the Wishing Lamp did not show any signs of weakening due to that whip, causing him to be whipped in vain.
After the anger subsided, he gradually regained his reason and fell into deep thought.
Who was that being who took pleasure in his misery?
Across the stars, the mighty power of the constellations... could it be the Super Star Overlord?
Or perhaps a high-dimensional observer?
Only these two beings would have such power, but something was amiss.
If their power could reach through the stars and target him through barriers, they would have actively influenced reality like the Fallen Mother Goddess and the Tree of Desire.
But there was no known worship of them on this continent.
Moreover, they did not possess the power of order and rules.
If it wasn't them, then who could it be?
The genie pondered over the specific events of these three nights. Perhaps that being wasn't just seeking amusement at his expense but was probing something?
He felt he had grasped the key point and made a reasonable assumption.
That unknowable being must have accidentally discovered him trapped in the Wishing Lamp, observed him overnight, confirmed he had no power to retaliate, and then took action tonight.
As for why they could discover him and strike against him, the reason was simple: they, like him, possessed the power of order and rules!
Beings on the same extraordinary path are mortal enemies, and old beings with the same authority are even more so!
No one wants to share their authority with other beings, and convergence is an instinct, an irresistible temptation.
The more the genie thought about it, the more likely and dangerous it seemed.
In his current state, if an old being of the same path were to come, he would definitely not be a match, and even a true god of the same path might have a chance to devour him.
No, he couldn't just sit and wait for doom!
He had to try to save himself.
The genie's thoughts raced, he glanced at Bernadette, chuckled, said nothing, and returned to the Wishing Lamp with a profound and inscrutable smile.
This, however, made Bernadette uneasy, fearing the genie might cause more trouble, as this was a level 0 sealed object, indestructible even by true gods, extremely dangerous.
For now, she could only strengthen the seal to prevent the genie from truly escaping, even if the probability was low, she couldn't take the risk.
After laying down several seals, making the Wishing Lamp immobile, even the genie's materialization from the lamp was no longer so free.
Having done all this, Bernadette left the cabin, instructed the Dawn to change course, and sail towards the nearest Storm Lord Church.
If the genie really escaped from the Wishing Lamp, she would throw it into the Storm Church at the first opportunity, letting the Storm Lord and the other seven gods deal with it.
This was the worst possibility and the future she most needed to avoid.
Inside the Wishing Lamp, the genie silently watched Bernadette's actions, feeling good, his strategy had worked.
He wanted to see if that mysterious being could still target him across the stars after the seal was strengthened.
If something unexpected really happened, he would rather have Bernadette throw him into the headquarters of the Storm Church, even if it meant being suppressed by the seven gods, it was better than being replaced and devoured.
This was also his life-saving measure to prevent the worst-case scenario.

In the early morning, Hastur woke up from the big bed, feeling exceptionally spirited.
Perhaps last night's contemplation about order and rules had digested part of his lawyer's potion.
This was a good start.
He got up, opened the window, breathed in the fresh air, the sunlight outside was just right, and the grey fog had not yet had time to invade the skies of Beckland, another beautiful day.
After washing up and having breakfast, Hastur locked the doors and windows, boarded the carriage, and headed to Beckland University.
Having taken the lawyer's potion, his learning ability had greatly improved, and it was time to tackle the cumbersome legal texts.
He believed that during the process of studying the legal texts, his lawyer's potion would also be further digested.
Upon arriving at Beckland University, Hastur was once again warmly welcomed, he pulled out five 10-pound notes from his pocket and handed them to the person in charge, paying the learning fee in advance.
This money, even if Hastur spent every day studying at Beckland University, would last more than half a year.
Soon, a middle-aged professor named Wayne took Hastur to an empty classroom to teach him individually.
"All laws are made by man!"
"All laws have a fair and impartial side, as well as a flawed side!"
"The original intent of all laws is for everyone to abide by, but there will always be situations beyond the laws!"
---
Professor Wayne started the class by giving the law many layers of definition, with a bright and just side, as well as a shadowy and insufficient side.
This approach, not merely proclaiming the supremacy and fairness of the law, made Hastur nod in agreement.
Seeing that the young baron was not angered by his slightly presumptuous words but was listening with interest, Professor Wayne's heart relaxed, and his stern face gained a smile.
True law cannot only have a noble and righteous side, nor can it cover everything; otherwise, there would be no need for the profession of lawyers, and judges would only need to make decisions according to the law like puppets.
If that were the case, the profession of judge could also be abolished, and all power

True law cannot only have a noble and righteous side, nor can it cover everything; otherwise, there would be no need for the profession of lawyers, and judges would only need to make decisions according to the law like puppets.
If that were the case, the profession of judge could also be abolished, and all power would be handed over directly to the police department, arresting and judging on the spot, straightforward and time-saving.
Because of its imperfections, because of its shadows, the legal profession exists to assist, observe, and correct.
As a law professor who had devoted most of his life to studying law, he naturally pursued the ideal of just and supreme law.
However, this was not realisticâ€"at least not yet. It was a long and arduous journey.
Professor Wayne didn't want to mislead his students, but if Hastur only wanted to hear about pure justice in the law, then he would teach only that part of the knowledge.
Other knowledge would have to be experienced and learned by this young baron through the setbacks and disappointments of society.
Hastur's willingness to listen and his lack of aristocratic arrogance made Wayne feel more at ease. He had a student who wasn't just seeking to uphold the nobility but had genuine insight.
As Wayne continued his lecture, he delved into various aspects of law, discussing its intricacies, contradictions, and practical applications. The two-hour class ended quickly, leaving Hastur wanting more.
Wayne closed his textbook, wiped the blackboard clean, and held the materials in his hands. Smiling, he said, "Baron Campbell, I look forward to teaching you again next time."
Hastur stood up, bowed slightly, and replied, "Professor Wayne, you can simply call me Hastur. A teacher who imparts knowledge and guidance deserves respect from every student."
Wayne nodded, leaving with a smile.
