Capítulo 240: Unexpected Promotion

"Hahaha, Dad, you farted too!"

Yueyue couldn't hold back her laughter after hearing Ren's fart, finally feeling like she had a way out. She laughed loudly, the earlier tension fading away.

Ren, on the other hand, secretly sighed in relief. Not just because Yueyue was laughing again, but also because of something more pressing—he had almost pushed out something else along with that fart!

"Alright, alright, so everything's fine now, right?"

Ren patted the spot beside him on the bed, signaling for Yueyue to sit next to him. He gently stroked her head, and Yueyue, enjoying the feeling, leaned into his hand for a moment before she suddenly remembered something.

Wasn't she mad about something just now?

What had made her so angry?

Was it the farting?

Yueyue thought for a while but couldn't quite recall. After everything that had just happened, she had completely forgotten why she was upset in the first place and let Ren continue to stroke her head.

"Sorry about that..." Ren's voice carried a tone of apology. "Your mom and I have been neglecting you a bit lately. It won't happen again."

"That's more like it..." Hearing her dad apologize, Yueyue finally remembered why she had been angry earlier. Pouting, she added with a bit of a spoiled tone.

Then she paused and, with the seriousness of a little adult, continued, "You two have been so out of line lately! Ignoring your adorable daughter like that—don't you know you might lose me if you keep this up? Do you even realize what losing me would mean?"

"Oh? What would that mean?" Ren asked, amused by his daughter's serious demeanor.

"Well, duh!" Yueyue puffed out her chest proudly. "It would mean our family isn't complete! A family needs Mom, Dad, me, and my brother to be complete. My teacher told us about this—it's called 'Four Generations Under One Roof,' and it's really rare!"

"You..." Ren was speechless, gently flicking Yueyue's forehead. "That phrase doesn't mean what you think it does! Tonight, you're writing it out one hundred times for me!"

"What?!"

...

After calming Yueyue down, Ren and Jada started paying more attention to her in their daily lives. They realized that what had happened was indeed their fault.

Children, especially at a young age, are very sensitive and fragile. This is even more true in families with more than one child. If the older child feels neglected because of a younger sibling, it can have a very negative impact on their emotional well-being.

With their family life back to normal, Ren's company continued to release new projects. One of the most significant was "Ultraman Nexus."

As another addition to the Ultraman series, the promotion for this installment was overwhelming. Ads for the series were everywhere—on games, websites, and social media. Ren's company plastered messages like, "The light is a bond. Someone will inherit it and make it shine again! The Porter's apprentice presents an all-new work, 'Ultraman Nexus,' launching at the end of March! Don't miss it!"

"Wow! A new Ultraman series! Finally!"

Fans across forums, websites, and social media groups erupted in excitement. Although Ren never officially stated that Ultraman was a series, many fans had already accepted it as one.

Even though only "Ultraman Tiga" had been released so far, the mysteries it left behind had made it clear that Ultraman was part of a larger cinematic universe.

There were so many unanswered questions: What happened to the original Tiga? Where did Tiga go with Camilla in the movie? And what about the red giant who fought alongside Tiga in the TV series? And what exactly was M78?

Speculations ran wild as fans pondered these mysteries.

But mostly, fans were thrilled to share this exciting news with like-minded friends. By noon on the day the official announcement was made, it had already been shared by three million people! Even Picca Games, a subsidiary of Ren's company, got in on the action, promoting the new Ultraman series through their channels, including special in-game events with generous rewards.

All the comic creators under Picca Comics also pitched in, placing single-page ads for the new Ultraman series in their works.

However, not everyone was on board.

Some people were skeptical because the new series was created by Ren's apprentice.

"Don't get too excited. This might just be a cash grab using the Ultraman IP. The Porter is getting too cocky, letting his apprentice take over!"

"So what if it's his apprentice? How's that being cocky? The Porter's apprentice made 'Your Lie in April,' which was a masterpiece!"

"Yeah, stop looking down on people! If the Porter is letting his apprentice take the reins, it means he has confidence in them."

"Oh really? Think you're so smart? Come say it to my face!"

"Sorry, I don't eat garbage! Keyboard warrior, get some more education. What era do you think this is, acting like a child? Is your local education level still stuck in preschool?"

While fans argued back and forth, many readers were focusing on another issue.

"I have a bad feeling about this. I think this might be a tragic story."

"Me too! I mean, this is the Porter's apprentice we're talking about! They learned all the bad habits from him. Didn't Claire's last work make me cry like a baby?"

"Stop it with the nonsense! How can an Ultraman story be tragic? What, are they going to kill off an Ultraman every episode?"

"Exactly! I bet this will be no darker than Tiga's ending—turning into stone and then reviving, the usual."

As the debate raged on, another user chimed in, someone everyone recognized—Ren himself. He first promoted his apprentice's new series and then posted a cryptic message:

"This is an Ultraman series that will defy your expectations! It's a semi-adult Ultraman! The content is deep, the visuals are dark, and it has the feel of a suspense thriller, with elements of horror, Renaissance concepts, and reflections on modern warfare and society."

"Wow! With suspense and horror elements plus modern warfare vibes? Now I'm even more excited!"

After reading Ren's post, many fans felt even more hyped.

But a lot of people thought Ren was just exaggerating. How could an Ultraman series—a hero story—incorporate all those elements? Even if it did, wouldn't it weaken the core of the series?

But only time would tell if Ren's words were true or just clever marketing.
