"Where is she?" Ethan asked immediately but Luis only shrugged.
"It'll be inappropriate to discuss out here. Come in." Ethan said, making way for Luis to walk in.
Luis nodded and walked into the house and before Ethan could close the door, something brushed past him. He looked in and saw another guy sitting beside Luis.
Ethan's eyes widened, shock consuming him. What is he doing here? Is he the one that is keeping Leticia? Oh no.
" Sit, Mr Andros, let's talk." Luis smiled. Ethan shook his head, refusing to sit. "Leticia is with you, isn't she?"
"Of course." Luis replied.
"Why?" He asked, knowing his daughter was an easy going girl and couldn't have gotten in trouble.
"Let's just say she stepped on my tail and provoked me." Devon replied nonchalantly.
Ethan clenched his jaws. "Let her go. I'll repay you. Anyhow you want. " Leticia being with Devon was as horrifying as a kitten being in a wolves den.
Devon raised a brow. "I think her being with me is a perfect repayment." He said cockily and a frown clouded Ethan's soft features. Devon smiled and Ethan took a step backwards.
Devon's smile was something to be feared. It's not a nice and lovely smile. He's smile is creepy, wicked and devil like. Like when the devil smiles at you.
"Or don't you remember me, Ethan?" Devon drawled and Luis almost smiled at Ethan's horrified reaction. He remembered Devon perfectly. That night 3 years ago.
Devon smiled, "I had no idea Leticia is your daughter until Luis here told me. I really don't expect this after what happened 3 years ago."
Ethan said nothing. Truly, if Leticia is in Devon's hands, it's his fault.
Devon continued," Due to your negligence and your daughters' ignorance, one is gone and the other will be, very soon. If not already."
Immediately, Ethan began, "Please, don't hurt her. She's innocent, Devon."
"Is she?" Devon cocked a brow.
"It's all my fault" The terrified father replied, hoping Devon would have mercy. What had Leticia done?
Devon nodded. "it is."
"What exactly did she do? "Ethan asked.
Devon just shrugged." It doesn't matter anymore. You can't save her. It's too late. "He rose from his seat and Luis did too. Ethan could only keep his cool. He couldn't believe this was happening to him, again.
" Have mercy. " He pleaded even though he knew it's fucking impossible. Devon is merciless.
Devon didn't say anything else, he just walked out and Luis smiled at Ethan, "It was nice meeting you, Mr Andros"
" Please, don't let him do anything to her. She knows nothing. "
Luis just stared and then walked out the door. Ethan slumped on the sofa nearby. If only he'd done the right thing! This wouldn't be happening.
He had no hope. Considering who Devon is, Leticia might be dead by now.
He should have told her. He shouldn't have kept everything from her" My poor daughter... "
***
" Why aren't I dead? "Leticia sulked. She never knew she had such stamina. Starved and suffocated for only God knows how long yet all she does is faint. 'Why can't I just die?'
She's already lost all hope. ' I'm never coming out.' It's useless trying so she's given up. Even the tears aren't coming out. 'He should just kill me. It's better than being left here to die. It's so painful.'
She'll pray her father and younger sister lives in peace. As for Manuel, once she dies, she'll hunt him down because he betrayed her and lied to her.
She was ready to leave this world as she was already feeling dizzy again and she prayed she doesn't wake up after she falls into unconsciousness.
But, something jerked. It was sudden, causing Leticia to tense up. The sound was like that of a door being unlocked. Before she could process anything, the door opened with a low creaking sound. Leticia winced, closing her eyes. It was too bright.
Then she heard "Devon wants to see you. " It was a familiar yet Leticia couldn't make out where she's heard it. She blinked, slowly adjusting to the light.
"Up please" He said to her. She could see it was Luis, looking as handsome as the last time she saw him.
Leticia shook her head. "Ah. A.." she couldn't bring out a full word. Her throat was dry for she hasn't spoken for days. He nodded and gently pulled her up.
Her legs gave way and she fell right into his arms, weak and boneless. Luis looked away, holding her to stand properly. "Let's go" he said and pulled her along.
Leticia staggered after him. "I.. Is h-he gonna k-ill me?" she finally managed to choke out. Luis didn't say anything. He pulled her down the beautiful halls till they came to a silver door. He opened the door and pulled Leticia in.
Leticia felt a bit relived because this doesn't look like a slaughter room. It was beautifully designed. Lots of fancy chairs surrounded a rectangular table and the head chair was occupied by...
"On your knees! Now!" He spat at her. Immediately, Leticia fell to her knees. His voice was a strong command. "Come closer." He ordered. She moved forward, dragging her knees on the red rug. It hurts but she had no other choice.
Devon sat on the head chair that looked like a throne. It was golden with trails of silver. He sat regally, his signature devil smile on his face. He watched as she fought the tears. "So, you spent 4 days without air, water or food. Impressive, I must say." Devon smirked.
Leticia kept her eyes on the ground, not daring to look up.
"I have things to discuss with you. But not right now for you stink." He eyed her in contempt. Leticia bit back a sob. At least no one else was watching this except Luis.
"Luis, please hand her over to someone. And tell them to wash this rot off her. Get out!" He fired at Leticia. Immediately she stood up, an unseen force pulled her back on her knees "Crawl." He growled.
Feeling humiliated, she crawled out of the room, Luis following her. As they exited, Luis pulled her up. She was already crying. He looked away and pulled her along with him.
They came to another hall with doors by both sides. A young girl walked up to them, bowing immediately she reached Luis. "Clean her up." Luis ordered . The brunette bowed and smiled at Leticia. "Follow me, miss. " before walking away.
Leticia looked at Luis, who assured her with his cool smile. She then followed the maid.
The young maid walked into one of the rooms Leticia followed suit. . It looked so nice and clean. "There is the bath. Or should i help?" She asked nicely as she gestured towards the door at the far end of the bedroom. Leticia shook her head, collecting the towel from her, she entered the bathroom. She admired the decor as she sank herself in the grand bathtub. The water was warm and scented. It helped her calm her nerves and actually relived her of the body ache.
After the refreshing bath, Leticia wore the yellow sundress the maid gave her and she walked out of the bathroom.
"Thanks" Leticia smiled, feeling weird under her gentle stare.
"I'm Karina . You?" The girl asked politely.
"Leticia" she replied and Karina nodded.
Exiting the room, they saw Luis waiting. Luis smiled at Leticia "You look better now. Come" And he walked away.
They went back to Devon without him holding her because she could now walk on her own. When they returned to Devon, Leticia didn't need to be told, she knelt immediately. Devon began, "Do you have a family?"
"Y-yes sir" Leticia replied. "A father and a sister."
Devon smiled "And you left them for here, uh? How much were you paid?"
Leticia shook her head, "I was only helping a friend."
Devon shook his head. 'She's so naive and stupid'. "Care to drop his or her name?" He asked and Leticia looked up at him. Her eyes met his dark red ones and she immediately bowed her head. "I'm so sorry."
Devon smirked, "So you prefer to die in his place?" Leticia pursed her lips. Should she just tell him it's Manuel?
"If I tell you, will you let me go?" She asked. She felt she shouldn't have but it wouldn't hurt to try, right? Okay maybe it would yet she took her chances.
Devon let out a chuckle. It was so dark that Leticia didn't know when she moved backwards. "Trying to bargain, uh?" He chuckled again and she coiled back.
"Fine. Tell me his name and I'll release you. " Devon agreed, shocking Leticia. Her eyes widened as she looked up at him, "Really?" What she failed to notice was the mischievous glint that crossed his liquid red eyes.
Devon simply nodded and Luis made a 'seriously' face. Leticia stammered, "It's... I..." Her heart was against it, but she needed to get out of here! Manuel would find his way out. She felt she was being selfish but she had no other choice.
"Manuel. His name is Manuel James Kingston" She blurted.
Luis watched as rage crossed Devon's eyes. He clenched his jaws in anger.
Hearing nothing from Devon, Leticia gulped. "Sir, I.. I already told you his name. "and she felt so bad about it. "Wh.. When can I go home?"
Devon looked down at her, their eyes meeting. Leticia thought ' Is it just me or his eyes are darker?'
"You promised to let me go" Leticia reminded, fearing he would go back on his words. A smirk graced Devon's red lips.
"I did, didn't i?" He drawled.
.
Leticia woke up to the gentle knocks on her door, her eyes slowly opening. She sat up, yawned, and rubbed her eye then stretched her arms.
"Wow, that sleep was so comfortable," she said to herself, smiling with her eyes still half-closed. She swung her legs over the side of the bed and stood up, walking over to the door on her bare feet. For a moment, she forgot about her predicament.
When she opened the door, Karina stood before her, a wide tray filled with lots of dishes in her hands. Leticia's eyes widened in surprise. "Morning, Miss. You missed breakfast but Lunch is ready," Karina said, bowing her head respectfully.
Leticia blinked, taking in the spread before her. "Just Lunch?" she asked, her voice incredulous. This was enough food to last her for two days! Karina nodded, "May I come in, Miss?"
Leticia stepped aside, allowing Karina to enter and place the tray on the bedside table.
"Call me once you're done eating," Karina said, her eyes cast downward. Leticia's heart fell at the thought of eating alone. She's never. "Can't you join me? I don't think i can't finish this alone."
Karina's expression remained soft, "Maids aren't allowed to interact with the masters, Miss." She bowed her head again.
Leticia's face flushed at the title, "M-master? I'm not... " she stammered, feeling a little overwhelmed.
Karina interrupted her, "Excuse me, Miss, I am needed in the kitchen." With a quick curtsy, she turned to leave, her short gown flowing with her.
Leticia called out, "Oh! Thanks for the meal!" She watched as Karina shut the door, feeling a little more awake.
She turned her attention to the food, her stomach growling at the aroma. She realized she hasn't eaten for a while now and seeing the delicious, hot food made her so hungry.
She didn't even think about brushing or anything like that. She made herself comfortable and dug into the meal, savoring each bite. The more she ate, the more she realized how hungry she was. She didn't eat for days. How was she even alive?
Leticia slumped onto her bed, overly full. Her eyes closed, and she slept off immediately.

Devon growled at the servant before him, "Bring her to me."
***
Leticia found herself on her knees before Devon, her head bowed as she shook in fear. 'Damn, how could I have slept off?'
Devon glared hard at her, "How dare you not answer when I call you?!" "I'm so sorry, I fell asleep. Forgive me," she pleaded.
Devon snarled, "I already told you I'll make you pay if you dare disobey me, bloody murderer."
"But I didn't mean to," she frowned up at him, her eyes wide with fear. She was scared, but he had called her a murderer. She had killed no one!
Devon raised a brow as their eyes met. Her opal eyes had fear in them, but stubbornness took over the fear. She looked him straight in the eye! Such a brave bitch. He leaned forward and grabbed a handful of her hair. Before Leticia could react, he pulled it hard and growled at her face, "How dare you talk back at me, bitch."
Leticia clenched her jaws, the pain he was inflicting on her was bad, but did he seriously call her a bitch?! "Fucking talk when I ask you a question!" he growled, pulling her hair even harder.
Leticia felt a whole new kind of pain on her head, as if she was being hit with a hammer. "I'm sorry, master," she whispered in pain, tears lacing her eyes. That wasn't what she'd intended to say but to her own surprise, that was what came out.
Devon pushed her away, letting go of her hair, and she fell on her back, a groan leaving her lips. Devon snapped at her, "Get on your knees!"
Despite the pain on her head, back, and knees, Leticia quickly knelt before him. He eyed her in contempt. "That's strike one. I give you two more strikes, then I'll make you bleed out of every hole in your fucking body! Out of my sight! Now!"
Fearfully, Leticia sprang up and dashed out of the room, tears falling from her eyes as she blindly rushed to her room.
Suddenly, she bumped into someone. "Hey!" The person yelped in annoyance. Leticia just ran off, not stopping to apologize properly.
The person she bumped into scoffed, using her hand to dust her obviously expensive dress." Brother Devon can't even hire quality maids anymore," she muttered before walking on.
She knew Devon would be in his meeting room, sitting on his throne-like seat, and she was right. There he sat, like a demigod, his presence commanding attention. Gosh, he's so handsome she could worship the gods a billion and one times for making him exist!
She smiled at him, her eyes sparkling with admiration, "Brother Devon."
He looked up, his piercing gaze locking onto hers, and then his devilish smile grazed his lips. "You're here, Sera." His deep voice sent shivers down her spine.
She grinned, her excitement evident, and went to him, pulling him up and wrapping her arms around his waist k. "I missed you, Brother." She squeezed him tightly, her head pressed against his chest. He chuckled, "Did you?" Raising a brow, he teased her, his voice laced with amusement.
She nodded. "Too much, in fact, which is why I decided to spend a few days with you."
Devon's grin widened darkly. His expressions are so sly that even the closest person to him would have a hard time telling if he was being sincere or not. "So lovely of you, Sera." He said, patting her head/hair gently.
Sera felt her cheeks heat up at the little gesture, her face flushing. "I believe you have nothing left to do," he said knowingly. She nodded.
Devon smiled, his lips curling upward. "Good girl."
She giggled coyly and was about to say something when...
"Hey, Sera," a voice interrupted, and they turned to face the speaker.
Immediately, her eyes rolled and her expression turned unfriendly, "What is it, Cecil?" she asked, her tone laced with annoyance.
Cecil grinned jovially, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "And I'm happy to see you too, Seraphim." He spoke, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
Seraphim scoffed, her lips curling in distaste. "Don't let me start with you, Cecil. As you can see, I was discussing something with Brother Devon, so get out." She waved her hand dismissively, her light red eyes flashing with irritation.
Cecil shook his head, his annoying grin never wavering. "As you can see, Luis and I have much more important things to discuss. You should get out." He gestured towards the door.
Seraphim shot a glance at Luis, who smiled courteously as usual! . She hadn't noticed his presence. No one ever does because he's always so unnecessarily quiet.
She scoffed at Cecil before turning to Devon, who had taken his seat, with a pout. "Brother, should I excuse you?" She blinked cutely at Devon, her eyes sparkling. He gave a sly smile, his eyes glinting with amusement, knowing exactly why Seraphim was always so sweet to him. She's just being silly.
"Please, do, Seraphim." His voice was low and smooth, yet dismissive.
"Promise to spend time with me after this," she requested. Devon simply hummed, "Hmn."
Seraphim sighed, knowing that was the end of the discussion. She bowed slightly before leaving the room, throwing Cecil a nasty stare as she departed.
"I wonder where they got a worked-up ass like her," Cecil murmured with disdain, before the trio began their discussion.
***
Leticia lay in bed, her body curled up in a ball, her face buried in the pillow. Her eyes were red and puffy from crying, her cheeks flushed and tear-stained.
'Would I ever be free?' She thought, hopelessness clouding her. Maybe not. It was really serious and the thought alone made her cry some more.
She has been treated so harshly in her life. Her head was hammering, and the tears were unstoppable. Is this how she would spend the rest of her short term life? "No! I don't want this. I can't, I just can't," she sobbed, her body shaking.
"Dinner is ready, miss," Karina's voice interrupted, a knock following.
"Take it away. I don't want," Leticia literally screamed.
"Are you okay, miss?" Karina asked, her concern evident.
"Go away!" Leticia snapped, her anger and frustration boiling over, before resuming her tears. Devon had meant what he'd said;it was just the beginning of her tears.
