Since James Watson's Divine Intervention was mainly to assist his own people, a majority of the Lord of the Dawn's power went into bolstering the Paladins' defenses and healing their injuries.

The dead Paladins could not be revived, but those with a breath left in them were all saved.

Not only that, they were also empowered with a strong Holy Light, remaining unscathed amid the severe explosions.

Even James Watson's own undead state had been cured, and he would be immune to such a curse for a long time.
