"Second sister, look, up ahead is Madam Qin's fish pond! Isn't it huge?" Su Ningxiu pointed at the fish pond ahead and asked Su Yunjin with a smile.
Glancing over, Su Yunjin saw a very large expanse that was entirely made up of fish ponds, which covered at least a dozen acres. Such a large fish pond was a rare sight for Su Yunjin, not only in ancient times but also in the modern era.
"It's big, really big!" The size of the fish pond implied there should be the kind of rice paddy fish she wanted to buy. Su Yunjin eyed the pond ahead and contemplated.
Her elder sister, Ningxiu, took Yunjin by the hand and walked over to the side of the fish pond, which was surrounded by a fence, with only a small gate for entry.
The gate was wooden and very securely closed.
Ningxiu stepped forward and knocked, "Is anybody there? We want to buy some fish."
"Coming, coming." Soon after, a man came out and opened the wooden gate. He appeared to be about forty years old, a middle-aged man.
