Ciona stood on the training platform in her courtyard. Unlike other days, she wasn't practicing any of the techniques Kizaer had taught her. She wasn't striving to perfect the Nascent Art she had received as a reward in the Martial Pavilion.

The servants present, who happened to be there doing their daily cleaning, couldn't quite understand what was going on. It wasn't common to see Miss Ciona standing still, lost in thought on the training platform. Normally, by this hour, she would be covered in sweat, evidence that she had risen early and trained since then.

Each of them speculated about why Miss Ciona was behaving with such seriousness and reflection. Some even wondered if Lord Han had proposed an arranged marriage, which seemed to have unsettled his daughter's thoughts.
