"It was just a thought," I say.
He squints. "I don't understand how you're comfortable with your omega carrying another alpha's child. Why aren't you bothered? Aren't you supposed to be territorial?"
"I wouldn't feel threatened." I shrug. "I like kids."
He snickers as though he thinks I'm lying.
"I'm not kidding."
"You like kids?" he squints at me disbelievingly.
"Yes. They're fun to hang around. My mother's younger brother has kids. I like playing with them. I give them piggyback rides when we play."
He stares at me as if I've grown three heads. "What in the world? I don't believe you."
"You should though." I laugh, "I'm the fun older cousin."
He gazes at me for a bit. "I still don't understand why you're comfortable with me carrying another alpha's child. You're not territorial at all." He hesitates. "I mean, it's convenient, but I still think it's weird."
