You enter the last section of the dungeon through labyrinthine mine passages. A huge corridor stretches for kilometers, flanked by chambers reminiscent of dungeons. Towering iron gates adorn each chamber, reminiscent of prison cells from afar. From inside, bestial screams echo incessantly through the huge corridor. Amidst the bloodthirsty aura of the air, there is a hint of foul odor in the air.
A colossal creature blocks the central path. This creature, which resembles a wolf but is more than a meter tall even when crouched, could be over three meters high in its entirety. Its length is more than five meters.
Lin Moyu's recognition spell falls on the creature like a gentle breeze. [Mine Wolf King (Elite Leader)][Level: 15][Strength: 2000][Agility: 2000][Spirit: 1000][Constitution: 2500][Skill: Roar]
Lin Moyu encounters a boss-level creature for the first time and has to deal with an elite leader. Although his attributes still lag behind those of the skeleton warriors, he's far superior to other smaller creatures.
"The fact that even the leader's attributes have reached such heights suggests that the final boss of the dungeon will be even more terrifying."
"However, it shouldn't surpass the Skeleton Warriors, otherwise no one would be able to survive this dungeon."
For dungeons with the Nightmare difficulty level, such levels are considered normal. Generally, those who are able to raid Nightmare dungeons surpass the level of the dungeon itself. A five-man elite team is on average level 17 or 18 and has good equipment and skills. Otherwise, conquering a Nightmare Dungeon would be completely unlikely.
Individuals like Lin Moyu, who can conquer a Nightmare dungeon single-handedly at level 10, are practically unknown in history.
Influenced by the discovery spell, the Mine Wolf King awakens from his slumber. He rises slowly, his colossal wolf body more than five meters tall. Lin Moyu and the skeletal warriors pale in comparison to his leg height.
The wolf's crimson eyes exude a bloodthirsty aura that conveys a terrible sense of oppression.
"Attack!" Orders Lin Moyu.
Fifty-six skeletons charge like lightning towards the King of the Mine Wolves. The mine wolf lets out a thunderous roar and unleashes its abilities with full force. A powerful shockwave erupts from its mouth and hurls over thirty skeletal warriors into the air at once.
The walls of the mine shake, sending countless pieces of rubble raining down. Even Lin Moyu, standing dozens of meters away, feels the shockwaves and a hint of surprise flits across his face.
This skill is an AoE skill paired with a knockback effect. It's the first time he has witnessed skeletal warriors being hurled through the air.
Although they're knocked back, the Skeleton Warriors fall to the ground, crash into the rock wall and look a little disheveled. Lin Moyu, however, shows no signs of concern. He senses that the skeleton warriors have merely been thrown back and have suffered minimal damage.
Their constitution of 3400 is no mere façade; the Skeleton Warriors have tremendous defensive power. They quickly rise and charge at the King of the Minewolves again.
The slight cracks caused by the previous attack quickly disappear, their fighting spirit unbroken.
"Use your skills!" Wild strike!
The skeletal warriors who weren't beaten back quickly approach the king of the mine wolves, their great swords gleaming with red light as they strike. Blood spurts, flesh tears, and deep wounds reveal bone.
The Wolf King howls in agony as many skeletal warriors leap up, landing directly on his body and activating their abilities. This scene mirrors what Lin Moyu saw during his ascension in the class.
The Wolf King is overwhelmed by the Skeleton Warriors even though it has tremendous size and strength unlike dragons. With a higher attack power than the Wolf King, each strike from the Skeleton Warriors inflicts considerable damage.
The Wolf King lashes out wildly and repeatedly crashes into the mine walls to drive the Skeleton Warriors away. But the skeleton warriors have a firm grip on his flesh and are difficult to shake off.
The skeleton warriors on the ground also pursue him relentlessly, hacking at his legs. The sound of metal hitting bone echoes and the Wolf King howls incessantly.
Its claws strike at the skeletal warriors, hurling them through the air with tremendous force. But the skeleton warriors only suffer minor injuries and quickly return to the fray.
The Wolf King tries to bite, but his teeth shatter the sturdy bodies of the skeleton warriors.
"What good is a great physique if it can still go down?" Lin Moyu muses, observing the scene. An enormous size may mean more intimidation and strength, but it's also a weak point. If the defense isn't strong enough to withstand the onslaught of skeletal warriors, the outcome is predictable.
In just a few seconds, the Wolf King is on the brink of death.
Roar! Another fierce roar rings out as the Minewolf King unleashes his skill once more, this time with full force. The recoil effect of the Roar skill is maximized, sending all skeletal warriors on his body flying through the air.
Even the skeletal warriors nearby are thrown into the air.
"The attack power of the skill is average, but the knockback effect is quite impressive," remarks Lin Moyu, whose expression is unchanged as he watches the Skeleton Warriors being scattered like flowers by a goddess.
Although the ability appears to be powerful, the Skeleton Warriors actually suffer minimal damage. As expected, they land on the ground, roll off and quickly return to the fight.
Suddenly, the King of the Minewolves turns around and limps towards the hallway.
"Flee?"
