That word signified terror to the humans. Both in his previous world and the current one.

Spawns of evil that could not be tolerated by the heavens themselves but yet could not completely do away with them completely.

Whether that was truly the case or not… That was an answer he was yet to decide.

From what he had encountered so far, they came off as beings no different from humans in terms of behavior.

They laughed, smiled, f**ked, cried, danced, trained, ate, hunted…. Almost anything other species did, they did – maybe just with their own twist in some cases: like vampires dining on blood as their main source of sustenance instead of meat or grain or hibernating for extended periods of time instead of sleeping for a night.

This also meant that like humans, they felt fear and respected power.
