"Nizara! You should wake up already. We are departing soon," said Selene, trying to wake Nizara up. Nizara, still half-asleep, mumbled and accidentally grabbed Selene's chest, "A few more minutes, Selene." Opening his eyes, he realized his mistake. Selene dropped to her knees, screamed, and slapped Nizara across the face.
Moments later, Nizara sported a visible slap mark on his cheek. Kai comforted him, "It's okay, Nizara. That's happened to me multiple times with Kaila. I understand how you're feeling."
Nizara sighed, "I didn't even mean to touch her. Now she might think I am a pervert."
After some time, the Black Squad and Nizara departed on their horses, heading towards the Villanova Kingdom. Reaching the gate, Captain Zane introduced himself, "Good morning gatekeepers. My name is Captain Zane Vaughn, from Valoria Kingdom. I am here on a mission to escort the Second Princess to the Arcadia Kingdom. Accompanying me is my squad, and Nizara."
The gatekeepers, shocked, responded, "Nizara! You mean the person who experienced the Second Awakening?" Captain Zane nodded while Nizara looked confused. The gates opened, revealing the modern and beautiful kingdom.
"Wow! This place is so modern and beautiful!" Nizara exclaimed. They tied their horses to a tree and ventured into the city. A man offered Nizara a fried squid, a popular snack in the Villanova Kingdom. "Thank you, mister!" Nizara accepted and later exclaimed, "Man, this is delicious!"
Captain Zane cautioned, "Don't eat too many of those. You don't want a full stomach before a mission."
"Understood, Captain!" Nizara replied.
They reached the grand palace of the Royal Family. Prince Kael Von Valenwood greeted them with regal authority, "Welcome, Captain Zane and esteemed members of the Black Squad. Your presence graces us, and we are ever grateful for your unwavering dedication to the kingdom. May your valor and strength shine brightly in the days to come."
Prince Kael continued, "Please, allow me the privilege of guiding you to my sister's chambers. Princess Thalia eagerly awaits your arrival." Captain Zane bowed, "Lead the way, Prince."
Inside, Princess Thalia Von Valenwood, elegantly dressed, rose to greet them. Her gaze lingered on Nizara, "Welcome, honored guests. But you," she said, her eyes on Nizara, "there is something extraordinary about you. What is your name?"
Nizara, caught off guard, answered, "It's Nizara, Your Majesty."
Thalia, her heart racing, suddenly asked, "Nizara, would you marry me?"
The room fell silent. Captain Zane and the others were stunned. Nizara, visibly moved, replied, "What did you just say?"
Thalia repeated, "Would you marry me?"
Nizara hesitated, "I… I can't. I have a quest to find Xanteria's Artifact. It's a journey that could take years. If we were to marry, I wouldn't be able to be home often, if at all. If we had children, they would grow up without a father's presence, and I couldn't bear to be so absent."
Thalia, determined, said, "Once you're done with the quest, would you marry me then? I would happily wait for you!"
Nizara responded, "Unfortunately, at that point, I would be gone from this world."
"What do you mean by that?" Thalia asked.
Nizara explained, "If I find Xanteria's Artifact, it means I would be called back to my true world. My mother and little sister are most likely waiting for my return there. They are my priority, and I cannot turn away from that responsibility."
Thalia, understanding but saddened, asked, "What happens if you don't find The Xanteria's Artifact?"
"I'll probably stay here until I eventually die, but I'll never give up on finding Xanteria's Artifact!" Nizara declared with determination. Thalia's heart pounded, her love for Nizara growing.
That night, everyone gathered at a bar. Kai and Captain Zane were already drunk while Selene and Kaila chatted. Leon and Nizara sat in silence until Leon asked, "Why did you reject Princess Thalia's marriage proposal?"
Nizara answered, "I have an important goal. Achieving it would benefit my classmates and others who were transported here like me."
Leon respected Nizara's resolve, "You never fail to impress me, Nizara."
Just then, Princess Thalia and Prince Kael entered the bar. Thalia wrapped herself around Nizara's arm. Nizara sighed, "I never agreed on becoming your husband."
Ignoring his words, Thalia ordered drinks. Nizara signaled Leon for help. Leon challenged Thalia to a drinking contest. Captain Zane and Kai joined in, already drunk.
Nizara excused himself to the bathroom but sneaked outside. He found Prince Kael smoking. Kael chuckled, "Surprised to see you here, Nizara."
Nizara explained, "Your sister was all over me."
Kael revealed, "Thalia usually hates men except for me and our father. She likes you for your looks and the way you address her."
Nizara, confused, asked, "How do you fall in love with someone who addresses you as 'Your Majesty'?"
Kael responded, "Sometimes women fall in love because of the smallest details."
Kael then offered, "If you were to date or marry my sister, I would grant you anything you desire."
Nizara, surprised, asked, "But is dating Thalia acceptable to the King and Queen?"
Kael confirmed, "It's okay with them, but I'll need to confirm it when they return."
Nizara, thinking it over, said, "I want books about Demon Lord Xanteria!"
