Well, he couldn't fool himself with that excuse. How could Raiden Shogun, of all people, be injured by mere explosives?
She was in her current state as a Spirit Essence! If there were any danger, she could simply return to Kong's body. Besides, her physical resilience was only a hair's breadth below that of a true demon god. A small amount of TNT wouldn't have any effect on her.
