Monkey and The Mirror
The fourth division- Hospital.
"Ugh! My head."
" Well, good morning sleeping beauty."
Koga walked over to Kensei and patted the man on the head, rubbing his fringe and patting down to his scalp with his rough hands.
" Gah, get off me." Kensei grunted, shrugging his captain off of him in annoyance.
" So, how're you feeling champ?"
" Like a brick wall." Kensei groaned. " What happened to that Hollow?" He asked.
" He got away." Koga said. " But don't worry about it. You just focus on getting better."
" Yeah...."
" Hey, listen Kensei, I want to talk to you about something." Koga told the man.
" What is it?" Kensei asked the man.
" I'm done." Koga told the man. " Me and Makoto are going into retirement and I'm recommending you for the position of squad 9 captain.'
The revelation hit Kensei like a tidal wave.
" WHAT?!"
Koga covered his ears and sighed.
" You can't be serious, Captain."
" I am. It's been a secret for a while, but she's pregnant. And I've been thinking about it for some time. I've had the opportunity to do this for quite some time, and I gotta admit, I don't think there's much more of anything I can teach you." Koga explained to the man. " You already embody everything that it means to be a member of squad 9. You have perfected your bankai. And your skill is already more impressive than some of my own peers."
Kensei simply stared open mouthed at the man, unsure of how exactly he wanted to react.
" Thank you, Captain. I'll do my best to uphold the honor of Squad 9." Kensei bowed his head and Koga laughed.
" What's with you being so formal, man? It's not like I'm going away or anything. I'll most likely take up teaching at the academy. After all, I'll still need to make money." Koga said to the man. " Makoto is talking with the Lieutenant of Squad 3 Rojuro Otoriboshi right now, once you're out of the hospital, we'll be recommending you both to be our replacements. Until then don't worry about it. Rest up and prepare yourself, Kensei." Koga flashed Kensei a smile and gave the man a thumbs up, before departing his hospital room.
Meanwhile- In a secret place within the Soul Society two men were gathered together going over footage from the incident.
" I see, A hollow that can speak and fight like a soul reaper. Impressive. This further adds to my own hypothesis. Thank you, Kaname."
" Of course, Lord Aizen."
Aizen stared at the recording of the fight between Kensei Muguruma and Bikou, his intrigue with the Hollow grew more and more each second.
" Kaname, what do you think the chances are this Hollow returns?"
" I'm not sure."
" I see. I want to see more of it."
Aizen stared at the Hollow and smiled wickedly.

An unknown amount of time later.
Bikou sat atop one of the many rocky formations that had grown within the sands of Hueco Mundo staring out at the sandy dunes, still trying to control the newfound power dwelling within him.
" It's getting harder to maintain. I never imagined something like this could exist." He muttered. " I have those Soul Reapers to thank. The heat of battle... I've never it felt it so thoroughly before in my life. It was incredible." Bikou muttered.
" I see. Would you like... A chance to face them again?"
Bikou turned upon hearing the voice.
Behind him was a man, hidden beneath a dark black robe.
" Who are you?" Bikou asked. " You're not a Hollow. So, you must be a Soul Reaper, right?" Bikou asked the man.
" Yes, that is correct." The man spoke. He pulled his Zanpakuto out and showed it to Bikou. " I have something I want you to see." He said. " Now-"
*Bzzzt!
Realizing what he was doing, Bikou attacked the man.
" Do you really think I'm going to sit here and let you release your Zanpakuto."
Bikou could feel a sinister presence from this man's blade. Every sense in his body screamed for him to stop it.
" Oh? You're pretty fast. What was that technique you just used?" The man asked inquisitively. " It seemed similar to a Flash Step, but clearly wasn't. How fascinating."
" Sonido. I believe that's what you'd call it. Frankly, I don't care much for naming. As long as it gets the job done. It's all the same to me." Bikou stated.
He tried pushing against the blade, but something was wrong. It felt like pushing against a wall made of iron.
" I see... You're beginning to understand. How perceptive."
[ Bleach ost- Treachery]
The man moved his blade forward and Bikou's eyes widened, instinctively he jumped backwards and pointed a finger at the man, firing a powerful Cero at him instantly.
The Cero exploded right in the hooded man's face.
Bikou stared at the smoke cloud trying to find the spiritual pressure within. However, before he could even perceive it, a straight line across his chest opened up and blood splattered into the air.
" Ugh! But.... How?" He asked.
" How? Simple... I'm stronger than you are. At least... This current version of you."
Bikou's head turned, and he saw the man standing right behind him.
' What is this monster?'
' I couldn't even see him move.'
" Now then, I believe I came here with a proposition. I believe you said earlier, you wanted to face the Captain of Squad 9 once again. I can make that happen, if you want that is."
Bikou clutched his chest, while staring at the man in the hood. " Why would you do that?" Bikou asked.
" I'm interested in seeing if you have what it takes to evolve. It would do great wonders for my research, watching you fight that is. Think about the possibilities." He said.
Bikou couldn't believe what he was hearing. From the way this man talked it was hard to believe he was a mere Soul Reaper.
No.
There was nothing mere, about this man. A man, willing to sell out his own, just to excel in his research. That was almost like a Hollow.
Bikou flashed the man a toothy grin.
" Okay. What do you want?" Bikou asked.
" Simple. Just do what you did before. I'll handle everything else." The man said.
Bikou watched as he flicked his wrist and a portal opened in front of him. " Whenever you're ready. We'll begin." He then stepped into the opened portal and vanished as quickly as he had come.
For the first time since he had awoken, Bikou breathed a sigh of relief.
" Hehahahaha! That bastard.... That bastard is insane! What kind of monster is he... I'm shaking, and I only clashed with him once."
I gotta kill him.
