Capítulo 19: Passionate Reminder

"They're about to get married and when that happens we're supposed to play house. We're supposed to become a family. You're supposed to be my stepbrother and I'm supposed to be your stepsister," I tried my best to explain, although I thought that it was supposed to be blatantly obvious.

The incredulous look that graced his beautiful features and the little scoff that he let out told me just how ridiculous he thought my words were. For reasons unbeknownst to me, Raphael clearly did not share my concern.

“Is that what you want me to be?” he asked after a short while of silence.

“Of course. You're supposed to be my stepbrother. That's just how things are supposed to be between us,” I said while I tried to convince myself that that night I spent with him was nothing but a big mistake.

“What will you do if I disagree?” he asked as he stared directly into my eyes.

Why would he disagree in the first place?
