As soon as Matilda heard her words, she went berserk.

"Have you lost your mind, Valencia? He is an alpha. How can you even think about it? Have you forgotten he was your mate once? How can you disregard him like this just because you have a more powerful man backing you up?" Matilda said.

She portrayed the words in a manner that made Valencia look like a power-hungry woman, and she thought she would make any changes in the girl's decision with that.

However, this time, Valencia didn't want to relent. 

She had been too forgiving to the pack alpha, who helped her grow and fed her despite the situations. Though they bullied her, they were also why she was still alive. 

She once read that if she genuinely wanted to be happy, she would have to start forgiving people around her, but more than forgiving herself first.
