[Chapter Size: 2200 Words.]
Third Person POV
Hogwarts.
...
...
Snape looked at him for a moment before removing him, moving him in the air with his wand. While searching for his wand, it wasn't among his clothes, in the closet, or anywhere in the common room.
"They even took the wand..." Snape murmured as he noticed a wand being held among the group, but since he didn't recognize Geronimo's wand, he assumed it belonged to them.
Snape saw that the boy didn't even react to his levitation, and surely this would cause problems for the students once it became public in the school.
A couple of Slytherin students appeared at that moment in the corridor, and when they came upon the scene of Snape levitating Geronimo, who had been tortured, they thought:
"He tortured him!! Run!" one of them shouted. They were second-year students, boys of 12-13 years, who exclaimed as they ran away.
Snape simply didn't care much about them, while he was thinking about the students he had seen. All of them were seventh-year students, and all of them also played on the Slytherin team.
But there was nothing more to be done there, as Snape decided to leave the place, disappearing with his teleportation. Penelope was startled when Snape appeared while she was carrying a tray of medicine.
"Hm?! Snape!!" she exclaimed, dropping all the medicines on the floor in shock, while looking dazed at him.
"..." Snape didn't say anything as he moved his wand, and all the scattered medicines began to return to the tray. He cast a repair spell, placing the tray back into the nurse's hands once more.
"You should take a look at this," Snape said, pointing to the tortured boy in a trance-like state.
"What?!" She quickly noticed him for the first time, turning her gaze to the boy, placing the tray on the nearest empty bed, and went over to Geronimo, pointing at Snape.
"Put him on the bed, let me see him!" she requested, and Snape guided the boy's body as it settled on the bed.
"My god... that was a Cruciatus! How could someone cast that on the boy?!" she exclaimed, seeking an answer with a glance at Snape, who shook his head.
"I'm not sure, but they were probably seventh-year students," Snape said, concealing his suspicions, as it wouldn't help to reveal the real culprits.
"This is a horrible thing; they could be sent to Azkaban..." she murmured.
"Yes, but I would prefer not to be a witness... after all, it seems they're from the great families. I'd like to keep my distance. However... I know the culprits might have his wand," Snape said before pulling out his wand and handing it to Penelope.
"What is this?" she asked, confused.
"This is for you to check the last spells I used... to make sure it wasn't me who cast the curse. Either way... I would prefer to remain anonymous... Miss Penelope," Snape requested calmly, and she nodded, taking his wand.
After confirming that he hadn't used it, as she could have her mind read, ensuring no one could suspect him other than finding the boy in such a state in the Slytherin common room.
"Alright... I'll keep this between us," she said, looking at him seriously.
Snape knew there was no point in openly testifying against those students... so he preferred not to involve himself in something futile. Even though he wasn't afraid of the great families, he knew that these people would go unpunished... So, he would have to resolve this in another way.
"I'll take care of him and call the headmaster... immediately," she spoke in an urgent tone as she began casting her first healing spells on the boy.
"Very well, I'm leaving," he said, as there wasn't much else to do.
Snape disappeared, returning to the Room of Requirement, where he intended to check his belongings to see if everything was in order. It was late in the afternoon, and Snape ended up looking into a room he had barely entered since discovering this place.
It was the trash storage, where the house-elves placed every lost item into the chest that fell directly into this place. As he entered, it was a storage room full of scattered items dating back to the founding of Hogwarts. As flames began to light the place, it revealed a vast corridor with countless items.
"Well... I suppose I can take a few things from here, right?" Snape murmured, after all, he had spent good money on bags with large spaces and could profit greatly by taking very valuable items.
"Perhaps Lucinda's father's franchise might be a good opportunity..." he murmured, thinking. But he dismissed the idea of appearing there as Lucinda's friend, not wanting to give the girl, who was already very bold, any leeway.
Snape didn't want a relationship in any way or to give hope to anyone here, as he didn't expect to stay in this world. His only goal was to seek revenge, so he didn't care about the girls around him. Even though he had been a jerk to Andromeda... he didn't want any relationship, so he already wanted to show the girl what he wanted from the start. It would be better to hurt her now than later.
Snape began picking up things he found interesting to sell, filling his bags with items so rare and ancient they would be worth a fortune.
Night fell, and he ordered his meal in the place, eating before going to bed, without making any more potions, finally getting more than 6 hours of sleep after months. Not that his body really needed it now, but it was still relaxing, and he wanted to enjoy it.
The next day, he was awakened by Pandora at the side of his bed.
"What is it?" he asked calmly, opening his eyes and feeling her approach.
"I thought I could scare you..." she murmured, disappointed, with her hands raised and making a face as if she were a monster, but it quickly melted into a disappointed look.
Snape raised an eyebrow at this, seeing nothing scary about the platinum-haired girl. "You should wear a mask or something like that..." he murmured calmly as she pondered.
"Maybe... maybe the Wrackspurts were wrong in telling me to do this..." she murmured.
"Are you leaving already?" Severus got out of bed, looking at the girl dressed in a simple dress, holding a bag in her hands and wearing a hat, while Dobby was waiting by the door.
"Yes... I came to say goodbye," she said.
"All right, I'm leaving tomorrow as well," Snape replied. Since yesterday, the Hogwarts students had begun to depart. They had 5 days to leave the castle, with the train leaving every day, while Snape planned to stay just one more day.
"You're planning to do something about the Slytherin student, aren't you?" Pandora looked at him curiously.
"Has it already become gossip?" Snape asked, curious, not knowing what had happened since he left the infirmary.
"Yes... it caused a big problem. The professors and the headmaster went after the Slytherin team training on the field and were hit by spells that knocked them down, and they found the wand of the boy who they say was tortured by them," she said.
Snape wanted to mock them. The idiots were so foolish that they kept evidence that could incriminate them. Since they were seventh-year students, they thought it was fine to simply torture someone they were blackmailing. It was likely that Geronimo had refused their offer, or his family didn't want to get involved in Voldemort's cause. Even though Geronimo had stated that his family remained neutral, the idiots thought it would be a good idea to send them a message. This could lead many families to turn against Voldemort in this way.
"I see... the idiots thought they wouldn't get caught, but still, they went unpunished, didn't they?" Snape asked the girl.
"I heard the Ministry was called to look into the case. It caused a huge commotion, even the families came to the school... but in the end..." she murmured, adjusting the hat on her head but speaking carefully.
"They were released..." Snape scoffed.
"Yes, although most of them left the school, others stayed and are laughing at everyone, saying their family is powerful enough to protect them, and that they will do this even to purebloods against the Dark Lord..." she said at the end.
"I see... this result was predictable..." Severus murmured before asking something that had been on his mind. "Did anyone mention me...?" He knew some students had seen him carrying Geronimo, and rumors might spread that he was involved as well.
"Some students said that the Slytherin group thought it was you, but in the end, it was someone else. Among them, a student named Lucas Nott said that you would pay for betraying them..." she said.
"Really? That sounds interesting..." Snape couldn't help but comment on that.
"Well, I'm off, or I'll miss the train..." she murmured, approaching him with a small smile on her face.
"What is it?" he asked.
"Bend down, you're too tall!" she said.
"..." Snape said nothing as he leaned toward her, and she gave him a kiss on the cheek before running off, passing by Dobby.
"Ahhh." Dobby almost seemed feminine as he clasped his hands near his face, blushing.
"What is this?" Snape asked, seeing this bizarre scene, not caring much about Pandora's kiss, as she was probably running through the castle by now.
"I'm so happy that Master has found love..." Dobby murmured as if he were dreaming. "Perhaps I will have a mistress soon too," he added with a dreamy tone.
"..." Snape couldn't quite grasp this; Dobby was too strange sometimes, leaving him without a proper reaction. He merely shook his head and disappeared.
The day went on, with students continuing to leave Hogwarts on the second day, filling the train, one in the morning and another in the afternoon to take another batch of students. This continued until nightfall. In Slytherin, the older students laughed as they walked through the corridors, laughing about what had happened the day before.
"For a moment, I thought we were screwed..." one of them said.
"Yeah... did you see how the professors chained us? Good thing our families practically run the Ministry... It's a shame I had to return that fool Geronimo's wand..." another of the three responded.
"But we still got away with it, and our families are handling it... Those professors will pay for yesterday's humiliation... When I become a Death Eater like my uncle, I'll take pleasure in killing some of them after torturing them!" another one said with a tone of hatred.
"Whatever, are you leaving tomorrow?" the first one asked.
"Yeah... my father sent me a letter today. It seems he wants to start training me now that I'm of age and finished school. I won't even get to enjoy the holidays..." Lucas Nott, one of them, said in a sad tone, not caring that he had tortured a student the day before with his companions.
"Alright then, I'm off to bed, goodbye." They bid farewell as Lucas Nott was entering his dormitory at that moment.
As soon as he opened the door, the lights turned on, and he yawned, closing the door and heading to his bed. But after just a few steps, the room was suddenly engulfed in darkness, making him stop.
"Hm? What..." He couldn't even finish his sentence as he felt someone was behind him at that moment.
"Who?!" he exclaimed, pulling out his wand, but he was swiftly grabbed by the stranger, disarmed, and thrown to the ground, feeling his arm dislocate with a cry of pain and surprise. "AHHH!"
The person who threw him listened to him fall to the ground in the darkness and walked over to the wand that had also fallen, picking it up.
"Who are you?! Do you know who you're messing with? You broke my arm?!" Lucas shouted in pain and anger, not knowing the difference between a broken and dislocated arm, as he had never experienced it before.
The stranger didn't respond. They simply picked up the boy's wand to use it instead of their own, as they didn't want to be tracked. Quickly, the stranger cast a spell that isolated the area from the other dormitories, and the wand began to glow green, finally illuminating the place.
Lucas Nott saw his attacker as someone wearing a completely dark cloak with a hood. He looked stunned by the spell being cast with his own wand, something that should have been impossible. In the next moment, beneath the door of the dormitory, a green light began to shine through the cracks—a Cruciatus Curse. No one nearby could hear the painful screams of Lucas Nott as he felt what he had done to Geronimo.
