Capítulo 2: New Life
[Third-Person POV]
It's been exactly four days since Toji woke up in the body of Bell Cranel, and during those four days he was able to get a gist of everything in this new world. The first confusing part was the fact that literal god's were walking around among humans giving them their blessings if they find said human interesting or useful, the second was the fact that he had to live in a rundown church with a goddess who was so clingy that everytime he would sleep she would always end up snuggling with him despite his many attempts to avoid that conclusion.
The third was going into the dungeon every day and meeting with Eina Tulle his advisor and having to be educated about everything in the dungeon after wanting a 'Refresher course', and the fourth and last one was being weak as hell.
Normally Toji had the speed to see bullets move like snails or the strength to cut a literal dragon in half, but now he was barely able to do such things with his weak body.
PUUCHI-
As the arrow killed the goblin he watched it turn into nothing but black smoke before leaving a single purple gem on the ground, he picked it up before looking at and placing it in his sack.
"I can't believe these little rocks are worth so much."
After the whole explanation of everything about the dungeon Toji now had to deal with he fact that he had to kill monsters that were on the same level as Grade 4 and 3 curses every day for 8 hours a day just to get enough money for food for 2 days or cheap gear.
Of course as a hitman he could make any type of weapon useful, but after basically starting back to zero he had to get serious with every fight.
His new gear consisted of a pair of black pants with brace's and metal plates strapped around his vitals while he wore a thin chest plate with chain mail under his black long sleeve with a single elbow pauldron on his left arm, he had a bow and quiver and a single katana both gear he bought for cheap for only Twelve Thousand Valis which included three small throwing knives and a dagger attached to a chain.
Normally adventures would stock up on around four to six Healing potions with a few Mind potions, but both were useless to Toji as they had no effect on him whatsoever he found this out by trying to heal a cut he got to test out the potion to only have it not work.
"That makes a hundred, tsk each stone from a goblin is ten Valis..."
Toji was used to being poor as he always gambled his money away, but he would always do so when he was about to receive a new job but now he had nothing. And there was also the fact that he had to take care of another person.
The only reason he was even doing was due to guilt it wasn't like him to feel guilty but he had just possessed the body of Hestia's dead 'child' so he felt like he owe her and he didn't like that, so his reasons for staying and taking care of Hestia was due to guilt, pride, and money.
'Thankfully after showing that Half-elf my new status she allowed me to go until the twelfth floor, as if I need her permission to go there anyways.'
He personally didn't like Eina, not because of something she did but because of her attitude he didn't care for her reason to be so worried and he wouldn't care even if he found out the reason. He was the type of guy to believe people should mine their own business.
"God being short is annoying."
Toji like always was complaining to no one in particular about his new appearance, he was able to make it so he didn't look like an innocent rookie with his poker face but he couldn't do anything about his height. As for some who was 6'2 and full of muscle to be immediately turned into a 5'4 Twink was something he didn't enjoy.
"Tsk, even talking is weird."
Not wanting to waste anymore time Toji descended further down the dungeon, gone was the open hallway with blue light and now the walls change dto a light green color and everything seemed more rocky and dungeon like.
The fifth floor was more dangerous than the previous floors as monsters like killer ants and war shadow despite being a low chance could spawn at the fifth floor, but of course Toji being the unlucky man he was immediately came to the sight of a seven goblins and a killer ant just finishing off a poor level 1.
"Let's just get this over with."
Instead of going for his bow he threw his three knives at the three poor goblins directiat theirs heads killing them, he then dashed towards the Killer ant at speeds that it couldn't even react as Toji grabbed it's head and snapped it into a unnatural position killing it.
The goblins who saw this were terrified but even so they grabbed their rusted weapons and tried to kill Toji, all Toji did was grab one goblin by the leg before using it to kill another goblin by swinging it like a bat.
Now the two remaining goblins seeing this couldn't help but shake in fear, Toji just looked at them with a bland expression before he disappeared from their eyes only to reappear behind them with his Katan ready to be sheathed.
Clink.
The two goblins fell on the floor with a slash on each of their necks killing them, Toji began casually grabbing the Magic Stones from their corpse without needing to pry them open. He finally reached the Killer Ant and smiled at it.
"A Killer Ants core can go from 100 to 500 let's just hope since I killed this one quickly it'll be worth a damn."

Yup I'm making it so nothing can heal Toji, of course this will come to play later but for now the only thing healing him is himself right now his stats may be that of a high level 1 but he's basically a level two with his Heavenly Restriction.
I know it seems like a nerf but bare with me this fanfic is basically a Nerfed Toji living as Bell think of his situation being similar to Maki he just needs to 'Awaken'

"Really is this it?"
Toji looked at the three remaining war shadows and last Killer Ant with a smirk, he was at the entrance of the 8th floor and he couldn't be more disappointed at the so called Rookie Killers. They had the same gimick and the only redeeming quality they had were their durability and speed everyone of their attacks could be parried.
Chink-
"Well I might as well end it here, I got a Goddess to feed!"
Swinging the chain around him as it was attached to the dagger gave him a barrier of sorts, the ground the chain would hit would end up being torn apart by how fast Toji was spinning the chain.
The War shadows dashed at Toji with their claws aimed towards him, while the Killer Ant started to run around Toji to try and attack him from the back. As they got closer to Toji he dodged one of the War shadows claws before using the chain to wrap around it's arm and kicked the war shadow away while ripping of it's whole arm.
The remaining two didn't stop their advance and tried to surprise Toji but what they didn't expect was Toji to pull his Katana out with his momentum without even touching the blade and kicking it directly at one of the war shadows head killing it while using the torn arm of the previous war shadow to impale the last remaining one killing it.
He turned his gaze to the approaching Killer ant and dodge an attack from it's pincer by jumping, as Toji was directly on top of it he stomped down smashing it's head to piece's.
"Krrr...."
"Oh you're still alive?"
He turned his sights to the remaining war shadow who was trying to stop itself from bleeding out, Toji looked at it with a smirk before throwing knife at its head killing it.
He stood there stretching before making his way to rip off all the Magic Stones from the monsters, he did so one by one starting with the Killer ant to the war shadows and as he finished and placed them inside the filled sack on his shoulder he stopped for a brief moment before turning towards the corner nearby.
"Hmm."
Toji could feel someone waiting there, it was likely an ambush but and sadly for them Toji wanted to go out and eat something other than cold fried potatoes. So he took a few more steps until he was directly at the corner and turned to his left to see a figure ready to impale him with a dagger, he quickly redirected the thrust to the ground before pulling out one of his his knives and stabbing the poor boy in the back of his head killing him.
"As they say, whatever happens in the dungeon stays in the dungeon."
With that Toji spent a while minute looting the corpse of poor boy who tried to ambush and kill him, all he got were 2 healing positions and a small sack of monster cores with a pouch of 4 thousand Valis.
"Well, I can sell the potions and get 500 each so it ain't that bad."
And so Toji made his way out of the dungeon while killing a few monsters on the way, and with his senses avoided the group of adventures that were likely the friends of the boy that tried to ambush him. It was safe to say that other than the annoying monsters that tried to kill him everything was all smooth sailing to his way back to the surface.
"That's 26,000 Valis"
"Alright thanks Eina."
"It's 'Miss' Eina Bell."
Toji ignored the words of the Elf as he waved her off as he walked out of the guild building, he's been slowly changing his attitude to fit his normal one to make it seem like a normal shift rather than a instantaneous change to send less suspicious.
"Damn all this sneaking and planning is making me hungry, what was that Pub called again Haste Host Hostess?"
