King Aaron looked defeated. "You can't just marry someone else in such a short time."
"Why not? The marriage is already null and void. Wasn't it just as quickly that you made me marry the vampire prince? I don't see how this is any different."
"I have to at least hear from your husband's family."
"Ex-husband. You can do whatever you want, but I'll be married in seven days." She didn't have a lot of time left. A week had almost passed. Davien would be back in another week, and she wanted this marriage to be done by then. She didn't even care who she ended up with.
"Bel," her mother said softly, "consider this carefully."
"No, I'd like a list of people who have asked for my hand in marriage at some point. If we have never met, I'd appreciate it if you could set up afternoon tea or something along those lines. I am sure at least one of them would still be interested."
"I won't allow it," her father interjected.
