Capítulo 136: The Smell of Blood

Bel froze momentarily. Though she knew what it was, it was hard not to show any reaction. Davien's eyes flew toward her with his fangs locked on the wrist, and then he slowly retracted his fangs. His dilated pupils constricted as he sat upright.

Bel tore her gaze away from him and looked at the figure leaning against the couch. It was a man who didn't seem too young, and Bel could clearly see the relaxed look on his face. She watched him briefly before turning her gaze back to Davien.

"I apologize, Sire," Giselle said, breaking the silence. "I forgot you'd be feeding right now."

"It's fine," Davien replied and dropped the wrist he held. He cleaned the corner of his lips with his thumb. "I am done here." 

He turned to the man, who nodded, then stood from the table, grabbed his wrist, and bowed to Davien and Bel before fleeing the room. Bel watched this, all the while aware that Davien had his eyes glued to her.
