Even before the Black Snake Pirates appeared, Zyhark had already used his electromagnetic waves combined with Observation Haki to capture Bailey and his crew's plan to "pretend to surrender and then claim the bounty."
Having recently consumed the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, he couldn't yet achieve the ease with which Enel could listen to the detailed sounds of the entire Sky Island, but he could get a rough idea.
In other words, Bailey's plan was doomed to fail from the start.
This superior intelligence gathering is one of the reasons the Rumble-Rumble Fruit is considered one of the most invincible abilities!
The reason Zyhark didn't act immediately was that he wanted Kanna, who had just joined, to have a taste of the dangers and treachery of the pirate world.
However, seeing the little loli currently stealing fried chicken off the table with her cute and greedy demeanor, his efforts didn't seem to have yielded much.
Perhaps in Kanna's eyes, the most concerning thing wasn't Bailey's insidious behavior, but whether the crispy, tender snake that was struck by lightning could be eaten. (Bailey was still in his giant serpent form at this time.)
"What? The wine was poisoned, meow?!"
Meowth showed a look of late realization and horror.
Although its keen intuition had noticed something off about Bailey and his pirates, it had calmed down after seeing Zyhark and Aqua drink the wine.
"Don't worry, Meowth. When I handed you the wine, the omnipotent goddess had already purified the poison!"
Aqua pressed her ample chest with one hand, proudly puffing it out with a smug look.
The silly goddess was rarely smart for once.
Actually, it wasn't entirely her doing.
Though Bailey and his pirates had hidden their malice well, in the eyes of the goddess, their deep malice appeared like a black mist, clear as day.
This was also the root of King's earlier confusion about why Aqua didn't rush over with a recruitment flyer as she usually did.
Even the benevolent silly goddess couldn't stomach it, showing just how intense Bailey and his crew's malice was...
"Phew, I see. No wonder the wine had no taste, meow."
Meowth heaved a sigh of relief, its tension dissipating.
Upon hearing this, Aqua widened her eyes, scratched her head, and showed an incredulous look on her fair, pretty face:
"Huh?! That can't be right. I remember I specifically left a bit of the original taste!"
Seeing the goddess's dumbfounded expression, Zyhark silently retracted his previous internal praise for her newfound cleverness.
Verdict: this goddess is beyond saving...
At this moment, Meowth, realizing what had happened, looked up sharply towards King, who had also drunk the "poisoned wine."
King stood there calmly, with an unperturbed expression that exuded an air of confidence.
Was all this within his expectations?
Compared to King-sama, I'm still too weak, meow.
Meowth felt deeply ashamed.
On the other side, the Black Snake Pirates, thrown into chaos by the falling lightning, looked at the sea restaurant group who didn't even bother to acknowledge them, carrying on with their antics. Bailey, covered in blackened scales, couldn't hold back anymore and spat out a mouthful of smoke that smelled of grilled meat.
"You bastards are underestimating me. I'm the Black Mamba, with a bounty of 73 million Berries!"
As a supernova who stood out among the new pirates of this era, and an Animal Fruit user with a resilient and tough body, a single lightning strike wasn't enough to kill him.
What Bailey couldn't accept was that despite his loud roar, Aqua was still arguing with Meowth and King about the purification of the poisoned wine.
Even the restaurant owner Zyhark nonchalantly picked his ear.
This blatant disregard made the usually arrogant Bailey furious.
Just as he was about to attack, a cute, petite figure suddenly entered his blood-red serpent eyes.
Following the smell of grilled meat, Kanna had unknowingly approached him!
'These guys are far more terrifying than I imagined. Engaging them head-on is certain death.'
'But this little one doesn't appear on the bounty posters. By any measure, she's a weakling...'
Quickly regaining his composure, a vicious gleam flashed in Bailey's eyes. His long, powerful black tail shot out, wrapping tightly around the "weakest link" and holding her hostage!
"Hahaha! How lucky, she's coming right to me!"
Having captured his target, Bailey was even more convinced of his judgment, showing a triumphant smile with his venomous fangs.
With this trump card, he now had a safe retreat and could return to exact his revenge!
Perhaps he was still dazed from the lightning strike, but Bailey, who was now laughing heartily, didn't notice Kanna's innocent expression, her big eyes blinking without any sign of pain or panic from being tightly bound.
The pirate subordinates quickly gathered around their captain, thinking that as long as they stayed close to the little girl, Zyhark and his crew wouldn't dare to attack.
Nothing could be safer than this!
"Hey, you better put Kanna down, or I can't guarantee what will happen," Zyhark warned with genuine concern.
The desperate tone of Extreme Thunder Zyhark!
The pirates, misinterpreting Zyhark's well-meaning warning as a hollow threat, scoffed.
"Captain, don't listen to him. With this little one in our hands, they won't dare do anything to us!"
"Yeah, absolutely don't let go!"
Good-hearted Zyhark: "..."
Even Aqua and the others, drawn by the sudden "crisis," were now watching with wide eyes, observing the pirates whose morale had suddenly surged.
Having witnessed Kanna's destructive power firsthand, they couldn't fathom why these fools would risk their lives like this.
To attempt kidnapping Kanna!
You could at least consider kidnapping Meowth! Aqua thought, suppressing a laugh.
Catching this ill will, Meowth's whiskers twitched with a sense of being offended.
Despite his right eyelid twitching madly, Bailey didn't have the luxury to ponder over the source of his unease; he just wanted to leave the dangerous sea restaurant as quickly as possible.
Thus, with Bailey leading, the vicious pirates carefully surrounded Kanna, slowly leaving the restaurant and retreating towards their pirate ship.
Zyhark let them go, internally wondering why Kanna hadn't acted yet.
Just recently, he had specifically told her that if she felt threatened, she could retaliate with the most brutal of punches, even against customers.
Wait...
Threatened?
Realizing the key point, Zyhark looked at Kanna, still wearing an innocent expression, being taken aboard the pirate ship.
Ah, that's it. In Kanna's eyes, these pirates posed no threat, thus not meeting the conditions for her to act...
Kanna-chan, you are too obedient!
Zyhark sighed, placing his hand on his forehead before calling out across the distance:
"Kanna! They are our enemies now, not restaurant customers, so it's completely okay to punch them all away!"
Punch them all away? This little girl with no weight?
Hearing this, the snake-formed Bailey was momentarily stunned.
Before he could digest the meaning, there was a loud "boom."
A seemingly light punch landed heavily on his ugly snake face, sending spittle flying and shattering two venomous fangs.
Following Zyhark's command, Kanna easily broke free from the snake tail's grip and stood up, delivering a punch that sent Bailey flying.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The twin masts of the pirate ship shattered along with the hull, and with a "splash," the snake-man Bailey fell into the sea, his eyes rolled back, and he foamed at the mouth.
The supernova with a bounty of 73 million Berries, deceased.
