Assessing Gohan's Power
Pantharos watched on with intrigue. "He has certainly grown considerably since we last saw him. I didn't feel much power from him, but now I know he was just suppressing himself. However, his hair hasn't turned red yet, so he must be holding back a significant amount of power."
"But if that's all, he won't beat Superboy. Despite not being a destroyer, he is more powerful than most of the weaker destroyers now," Pantharos finished his assessment.
"You're in for a rude awakening if you think that this is anywhere near Gohan's full strength," Vegeta cut in. "I don't know when you last sensed his power, but they aren't even on the same scale."
Pantharos raised an eyebrow at Vegeta, noting his golden earring. "Another candidate..."
Suddenly, Gohan's energy began to rapidly increase, his hair turning to a dull shade of red as he flew through Superboy's heat vision before landing a devastating gut blow.
But immediately, Superboy recovered, increasing his power even more. "Alright, you're getting serious!" His power exploded as he charged forward far faster than before.
The two zipped and clashed as they traded blows. The Omni-King was on the edge of his seat. "Yes! Punch! Kick!"
Gohan leaned back but still got hooked by a left hook. Flowing into it, he stepped forward, surprising the Kryptonian, kicking him off his feet. Gohan turned before raising his right leg, as his hair turned pink, raising his power tremendously.
Shock and Realization Among the Gods
The gods stood up in shock. "Impossible! Is this even the same god we saw?" A few destroyers of the 2nd Multiverse started grinning. 'He's stronger than I am!?' The old scientist thought. 'This cannot be!? I am over a billion years old!' The mad coot was turning red in the face as sparks started fizzing over his head.
In an instant, Gohan brought down his leg, landing a brutal axe kick to the back of Superboy's head, smashing his face into the ground, a blood splat outlined Superboy.
Unexpected Intervention
"You spoke a lot for someone so weak. Leave the heavy lifting to the elder destroyer gods. You're strong, but you'd be the first to die against Merno," Gohan explained as laughter erupted from behind Pantharos.
"I never thought I'd see the day you get put into the ground, Superboy!" Another figure stepped forward and threw off her hood, revealing...
"Diana?" Gohan questioned before looking back to where his Diana should be, immediately spotting her, who looked just as confused as him.
Gohan was suddenly punched in the face, launching him through multiple pillars. The two Dianas made eye contact.
The doppelganger averted her gaze from Diana. "WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO LECTURE ME!?" Superboy screamed at Gohan before turning and glaring at his Diana, who flinched before looking away.
The Climactic Battle
When the dust cloud settled, Gohan was standing. He wiped blood from his lip. "Is this your true power?" Gohan asked as Superboy glared at him.
"This? Not even remotely," he explained as Gohan nodded.
"Then you might want to get ready to use it," Gohan explained as his eyes turned red and his aura exploded, his power now in an entirely different league. The only thing Superboy saw was the red lines Gohan's eyes left as he moved.
Superboy exploded with his own power. When it seemed like it was about to reach Gohan's, it would suddenly spike and climb even higher. At this point, Beerus's jaw dropped as he stared at Gohan.
"What a violent storm of Ki," Beerus remarked. 'This feels nothing like before...' He clenched his fist.
Superboy glared at Gohan, having reached his maximum output. His limit was constantly increasing, but why did it feel like Gohan was growing too? He wondered, blacking out as a punch from Gohan knocked him unconscious. As he started falling, Superboy immediately regained his footing before returning a blow.
Gohan blocked it before landing another devastating blow. 'What is this!? It feels like I'm fighting a real Destroyer!? Isn't he supposed to be one of the weakest!?' Another kick knocked Superboy unconscious as he slammed into the ground. Immediately, Superboy turned and fired a massive wave of heat vision.
Backing up, Superboy tried raising his power even more. When the dust cleared, Gohan hadn't a scratch on him.
Taking a deep breath, Gohan closed his eyes, calming his mind and taming his instincts. Gohan opened his eyes to reveal his Super Saiyan 4 form with silver hair. "Do you still think you can win?" Gohan asked Clark, who fell back, but Gohan caught his arm.
"I didn't even see you..." Superboy didn't get to finish as Gohan picked him up and started mercilessly beating Superboy. As he lost consciousness, another blow would bring him back to reality before he would naturally wake up.
The crowd of gods watched on. A few were stunned. 'I thought that Superboy had more power than this?'
Many thoughts and sentiments began to agree. Pantharos sighed. Now Superboy's reputation among the gods would be in shambles. 'Admittedly, I didn't think the young destroyer would have grown so much, but Vermont did personally vouch for him so I can't be too surprised. But one thing is good.' Superboy would finally be humbled by another.
