Capítulo 65: What Happens in the Dark, Part 2

Zero immediately began to panic.

"How are you doing any of this?! All you keep doing is....." Zero paused. "...repeating that stupid phrase."

It finally clicked for him as he stared across at the pale man who stood hunched over across from him.

"It's your invocation, isn't it?" Zero accused him.

The man simply chuckled. The chuckle blossomed into full blown laughter like Zero had just told funniest joke in the world.

"What's so funny?" He could feel the frustration and worry rise within him. These chains were tight. No matter how much he pulled it only caused his wrist to hurt with nothing actually accomplished. 

With his hands like this, his systems were basically useless.

"I had asked the same thing. Long ago." The man muttered. He scratched at his forearm and the skin flaked off like it was dust. "Longggg ago. So long ago. Hehehe."

He's lost it. Zero thought.
