Ezra walked into the lab in the shadow castle. The lab had undergone heavy renovations, all at the cost of his shadow points.
It was equipped with state-of-the-art devices resembling those from Earth, but using magic for better performance.
The floors were tiled with shining white tiles, as were the walls and ceiling. The door had been replaced with a heavy metal one, choked with magical formations.
The entire room was also filled with formations and arrays for the safety of the person inside and to suppress experiments if they went wrong.
Cabinets, lockers, and different forms of storage devices filled the room, from weird-looking microscopes to tubes and pods.
"This really ate into my shadow points, but I can get them back by hunting shadows," Ezra said.
Ezra decided there was no point in doing this how the kingdom wanted. He wasn't a scholar or anything like that; all he had was the system.
