John knew that Ethan had been keeping his rage towards the Consort and the imperial family suppressed under his cold rationale. In a situation where he could finally experience some refreshing revenge, Ethan was still enduring it all with reason.

"If you don't do it now, you may never get another chance."

"I'm sure the Emperor is expecting me to step out of line and brandish my sword. I don't plan on doing as he wishes."

As a man of few words, Ethan never showed anyone what he was thinking.
