Capítulo 43: Coming to her rescue

Sebastian thought the man standing in front of Avery. And maybe the sulheoutte was confused and wanted to know if Avery was his wife or partner. Not until Sebastian saw the way the figure pushed Avery to the table.

He heard the skip in her heartbeat and the fear that crept up her skin, engulfing her in a whirlwind of smoke.

Despite the high volume of the music, his ears picked up some important words and sounds of the people in the hall.

Sebastian rose from the chair, his jaw clenched, as he headed to where Avery was. The next words Sebastian heard from Avery made him quicken his pace.

He recognized her despite the darkness that enveloped the hall.

Avery realized the silhouette hadn't said anything, and this was what made her suspicious. She tried to release her wrist from his grip, but it only tightened, and Avery winced in pain.

"Ahhh!" She shrieked out in pain, but her voice got swallowed by the blazing of the music.
