"I FIXED IT! YES! I DID IT! I DID IT I DID IT I DID IT! FOR REAL THIS TIME!" Ruby cried out, jumping up and down excitedly as she stood next to a panting, gasping Weiss, who was rather dizzy from being flung across an entire training ground via Petal Burst, but hadn't yet thrown up or shown any Aura damage like how Petal Burst normally went, what with how the grimm stuff that made up Ruby's body usually interacted with people's souls. "Yessssssssss!!!!"
"SENSATIONAL!" Penny answered back, her voice just as loud and excited as she sprinted over and tackle-hugged Ruby to the ground with a joyous laugh, giggling as she nuzzled against Ruby proudly. "I knew you could do it, wishing star! You truly are amazing in every way!"
"Oh gods I think I'm going to throw up," Weiss muttered, groaning as she stumbled to the side and rubbed her temples, heading towards Yang and Blake as she struggled to stay upright and not collapse. "Why is it still so dizzy…. Ugh…. ergh… I'm…. gonna… blehhhh….."
And with a dramatic swoon of defeat, Weiss collapsed to the ground not two feet away from Blake and Yang, who just stared in idle amusement as Weiss just laid there for a long moment before the heiress rolled over and started ineffectually waving her arms in the air. "Pick me uuuupppppp. I want kissies…. And air sickness pills…. Ugh…. spinny… oh gods… ough… eerrgh… blehhhh… this sucks…"
"I'd say you get used to it, but you kinda don't," Yang sighed, her and Blake both moving over and picking up Weiss ever so gently- Yang doing most of the lifting while Blake folded up a cold, damp towel and draped it onto Weiss' forehead and helped her take a sip of water through a straw. "Even Uncle Qrow isn't used to it, and he's side-alonged with Ruby's Petal Burst more than anyone by now. Which… is weird because Ruby usually spars with… uh… Hm. That's…"
Yang hummed, frowning slightly as she tilted her head to the side slightly, looking over to where Ruby and Penny were celebrating by dashing about all over the place, Ruby flashing into rose petals as she carried Penny around and around the area, the two of them dancing around in a way that was utterly dizzying to look at. Yang, meanwhile, just watched for a moment as she helped Weiss sit down and regain her bearings from being flung around on an utterly dizzying path around the training area for several hundred meters- the fact that she hadn't taken any Aura damage at all during the entire trip was… good news for what they were doing later that week, actually. Or… bad news? Whatever. It just meant that Ruby's insane plan of flying into Vale using her Nevermore form and then diving straight down using Petal Burst to bleed off momentum was actually viable.
Terrifying.
"... Why doesn't Ruby just… grab people and shake them around like that to fuck them up in the middle of a fight?" Yang finished her line of thought, scratching her head and blinking slowly as Ruby and Penny came to a halt in the middle of the field, both of them stumbling around and laughing as they tripped all over each other- Ruby shedding rose petals left and right in a mix of red and white and black as she bumped foreheads with Penny, the smell of spring and flowers in the air as they continued celebrating. "I swear she's done it to me at least once during sparring…"
"Probably because it's a pretty niche application and it doesn't do much other than disorienting someone? Could be good for one on one spars though, if she lets her grimm stuff start poking away at everything," Blake shuddered, rubbing her arms a little as she remembered just how fast her Aura drained if Ruby started getting angry while using Petal Burst. What was usually contained as a mild prickling or the sensation of constant pick pick picking became the feeling of the literal stuff of nightmares clawing into her soul, staring and shrieking into the depths of her existence with such utter malice and hellish intent that it still occasionally made her wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat. A fifty meter dash while Ruby was mad was enough to drain half of her aura in a near instant.
A hundred meters would have broken it completely. Anything further than that… Blake didn't even want to think about what it'd do to her mind, body, and soul.
"Also because I think it'd count as a war crime if she tried that. The nausea and dizziness compounded with the sheer agony and fear of having grimm matter shrieking against your soul… I know you've gotten used to most of it, Yang, but… ergh…" Weiss made the exact same face as Blake as they both shuddered in solidarity, with Weiss leaning against Blake for support while Yang just shrugged and bobbed her head a little.
"Yeah, that's fair. It's a pretty gnarly thing to feel," she agreed after a moment, joining in on Blake and Weiss' not-quite huddle with her own warmth and presence, wrapping her arms around her girlfriends as they snuggled in slightly closer to the source of heat. "Y'know, we should do something later when we're done with training. Something nice. Something that you guys wanna do, not just following me around to wherever."
"I happened to quite like the idea of you dragging us around to new and exciting places," Weiss protested, burying her face into the crook of Yang's shoulder and grumbling a bit as she shook off the last of her dizziness and took a few deep breaths. "It's… been eye opening just how much difference there is in the places you take us to."
"You just like the food and don't pay attention to anything else, though," Blake deadpanned, rolling her eyes as she gently took Weiss hand and lifted it up by the rest, pressing a gentle kiss to the heiress' knuckles instead of leaving her place surrounded by Yang's warmth. "You'd find a convenience store fun if they had good food there."
"I'm not that bad. Not like you with fish," Weiss huffed, wiggling her hand out of Blake's grasp and poking her cheek with a single, perfectly manicured nail painted in lavender with flecks of gold dusted in. "I swear, how many times have Yang and Ruby had to stop you from diving into lakes whenever you see a particularly large fish?"
"Oi, that was once, princess," Blake hissed, narrowing her eyes and poking Weiss right back, scowling playfully as she really made sure to squish Weiss' adorable, soft cheek. "Unlike you , who's been kicked out of half the fast food places in Vale within the span of less than a year!"
"Ladies, ladies, you're both extremely beautiful-" Yang laughed, squeezing the girls tighter before cutting herself off with a choked noise of protest as Blake and Weiss both turned on her at the same time, jabbing their fingers into her cheeks with an equal cry of-
"You don't get to talk!"
"You burned down how many clubs again?" Weiss growled, repeatedly poking her brute of a girlfriend and glaring up at her. "It's a wonder none of us perpetually smell like soot!"
"It's a miracle we haven't been arrested for arson by now!" Blake agreed, poking Yang's other cheek irritably.
"... Guys, it was just like, three places. And all of them were criminal hotspots," Yang protested weakly, voice coming out slightly muffled as Blake and Weiss continued squishing her cheeks and poking her repeatedly. "It wasn't that bad!"
"Three places in a month!"
"... Okay well in my defense if they wanted their dinky little bar full of career criminals and low powered mafia guys to stay standing, they shouldn't have tried to get all handsy and threatening with three of Beacon's best first year fighters," Yang deadpanned.
"... Well, I can't argue with that," Blake muttered. "They were trying to coerce us into doing… that ."
"... True. Still. Arson is unbecoming of my paramours, and we should endeavor to keep property damage to a minimum from now on, wouldn't you agree?" Weiss huffed snootily, holding her head high as she poked Yang's cheek one last time.
"Alright alright, I won't burn down any more shitty criminal filled dive bars… I mean, no promises, but I'll try not to at least."
"Thank you."
"You do realize this is why we call you princess, right Weiss?"
"S-shut up! You're the actual princess here Blake!"
"My father is an elected official and I am not a princess!"
"You even wore a princess outfit when you were a child!"
"That was ceremonial only!"
"You were very cute in it, though."
"... Thanks."
Blake blushed, looking away as her ears flattened slightly, trying to fight off a smile even as Weiss reached out and placed a gentle kiss onto her knuckles, Yang doing the same a moment later- though given their positions she settled for kissing the base of Blake's ear instead. "You guys are ridiculous…"
"Aww, you know you love us Blakey~!"
"... Yeah… I do."
Notes:
Y'ever think about the fact that, technically speaking, Blake is politically closer to a princess than Weiss is, despite Weiss'... everything.
