Director Dos sat alone in his dimly lit office, the heavy scent of tobacco hanging in the air. His face was tense, his forehead creased with stress, and the ashtray in front of him was overflowing with cigarette butts, a testament to his anxiety. He crushed a half-burned cigarette into the pile, his fingers trembling slightly. On the other end, Jack's phone buzzed. Seeing Director Dos's name on the screen, Jack's eyes widened in surprise. He wasn't expecting a call from someone so high up. His hand hovered over the phone for a moment before he answered.
