ADOLESCENCE
When João Neto left for the city of São Luís, Jonas was left alone with his mother. Cândida's family lived in the same neighborhood as them, so Jonas started talking to Cândida. He talked about how much he missed João Neto. She listened, but didn't seem to miss her ex-boyfriend. Such conversations strengthened the relationship between the two. Now they talked about everything, laughed with everything and spent more and more time together.
Jonas had never imagined that something like this could happen. It was as if destiny was tracing unexpected paths to his deepest feelings. Cândida, the ex-girlfriend of João Neto, his older brother, now occupied his thoughts in a surprising way. In college, I couldn't concentrate on anything that wasn't related to Cândida. She did him a lot of good.
