"[NASA keeps an eye on the massive sunspots on the sun's photosphere. Recently, the sunspots have been causing small explosions, reaching a critical level. " "[The recent solar flare was very large, causing a malfunction in communication equipment.]"EaEarth's electromagnetic waves can travel into space from various electronic devices and expose particles, leading to communication disruptions.]"
Two military tactical vehicles and a truck transported more than twenty soldiers, all headed towards the city of Muji, but farther back, there was a black vehicle where Anton was traveling.
"Now, do we have to deal with aliens? It's not enough with the hell we've been through on Earth, damn it," Yoshio said with a disgruntled face. The brutal battles he had gone through had changed him completely.
"Can you shut up for a second so the bishop can rest?" Terry asked with an irritated voice.
"What else can I do? It's unbearably hot, and certainly going to train kids wasn't in my plan for this year. Is it really just to train students?" Yoshio murmured while looking at a man who hadn't spoken.
Rafael, who had arrived a few days ago, looked at this uneven team and said, "You can take a break and pretend these are vacations; take it easy."
"Are you sure these are just a little vacation?" Yoshio, who was the youngest and took certain liberties that others couldn't, asked.
"I don't know," Rafael responded while shaking his head. All he wanted was to drive in silence for the rest of the journey.
Anton was in the front seat; his eyes remained closed, pretending to sleep and remembering those last words.
"Something big may happen in Muji; recently, communications have been failing a lot in that city. According to our information, something fell in the mountains, but so far, there are no reports of any supernatural beings in the area."
Anton didn't want to have contact with any more powerful anomalies because he didn't know the full extent of his powers. He didn't want to face something reckless without being able to properly use his abilities.
Would that be considered fear? There are increasingly more powerful monsters than others, which are hard to face, and you never know when they will go out of control.
Recently, it was known that a very powerful dark entity in China released a kind of dust, causing damage worldwide, to the point that many considered it a forced quarantine.
Anton believed it was important to build a strong team, so for that reason, he called Rafael, who came with Thomas, to meet Yoshio and Terry, who recently stuck to him like gum. All of them needed to be strong, so strong that nothing would scare them.
Their priority now was to prepare someone with those capabilities. According to the current situation, it's a matter of time before a dark entity with the ability to unleash a power called 'dominion' appears in the country.
During this time, Anton discovered an effective way to face powerful dark entities. This training method is currently taking place while traveling, and the new recruits are preparing.
Anton just wanted to keep raising the military power and combat ability of the branch against supernatural beings. So far, there are only soldiers who were moved disorderly from other bases to implement elimination tasks.
The creature he found last time was not strong, but who would know what would happen in the future? If it were weak, it wouldn't be able to fight against dangerous creatures. And yet, that wasn't the worst part. If he died now, what would happen if there were creatures that couldn't be eliminated with simple firearms?
Anton opened his eyes and looked at where he was currently. "How far are we from the school?"
"Guardian woke up!" Yoshio pretended not to have seen Anton open his eyes a moment ago.
"We are twelve kilometers away; we will arrive in a few moments, sir," Rafael responded, his gaze on the map on the vehicle's computer.
"We are very close; that's good," Anton murmured with a calm voice.
"What do we actually have to do, Captain?" Yoshio was curious.
"Again with that question. You better shut your mouth and stop bothering the captain," Terry said with frustration.
After thinking for a bit, Anton replied, "I don't know much more than you do. According to reports, something is in the forest, but it's mere speculation. At the moment, nothing is confirmed."
"So..."
"So let's take it easy and relax our minds from anomalies," Anton said, looking at the approaching night.
Just as they were about to move forward, their radio crackled: "Zz... This is Betty Borman from 226; we're on 9th Avenue in Kissel County. Does anyone hear me?"
Anton furrowed his brows; that direction was a few kilometers from where they were, so he took the radio and said, "Zz... We received your signal; what's the problem?"
"Zz... Our tire is flat; this is a school bus, and most are teenagers, so with no chance of repairing it, we are stranded."
Upon hearing this, Anton said, "Zz... Wait there; we're on our way right now."
"Are we going to deviate?" Rafael looked at Anton, awaiting his orders.
Anton thought about it; he didn't want to deviate from the entire team, so he said, "Tell the team to keep moving; we'll catch up when we help those youngsters."
"Understood, sir!"
