Before he could finish, his phone buzzed in his pocket, breaking the moment. He glanced at it, his business-like demeanor snapping back into place. "I'm sorry, I have to take this."
As Jace turned away, Grace's mind raced with what Jace had just said. Did he mean he cares for her not just as his son's nanny or as a woman?
She dared not allow herself to believe that he felt the same way she felt about him. Although all his actions had hinted at that, she was still skeptical.
She glanced at the direction he had gone and saw him engrossed in the call he was making. From time to time, his head will turn towards her but she wasn't sure if she was the one he was looking at. But even at that, her heart still missed a beat each time she saw him glance at her.
"It's time for the outdoor game," Faye's voice broke through Grace's thoughts.
